I play FA and Sword weaver solo in wvw.
It's not too tier, but it's definitely viable and a lot of fun!
Sword weaver is definitely the more forgiving spec, and can 1vX fairly well, just look up Cellofrag's excellent guide on YouTube.
If you're not running a core zerg build, you generally don't need to be in the squad for the boons etc.
Most open tags have absolutely no problem with you following along and doing your thing (flanking, ganking backline, counterganking etc)
I don't know what you're talking about, all it takes is a full burst combo of a fresh air ele to almost not dismount a guy who doesn't even evade cough
That clip is a proof…
Just spent a couple hours in WvW and I have to say that this new iteration is amazing. The skill is so much more fun to use and no, the cooldown felt perfectly reasonable to me. It was always up again when we needed it.

11k damage is not a lot.
It has three evading dodges that also cover a lot of distance.
You can basically not fight a mounted player in their territory unless they let you.
It's not good.
It's really simple, if you're not a core zerg class just ask if there's a spot for you, and accept that you may need to leave squad to make place for others if it begins to fill up.
While being in the squad can be nice for you, you don't need it …
I think I'd like it a little more if you could cancel kneel with movement keys.
that could be an issue if you want to dodge into a certain direction without breaking kneel.
The API seems to be reporting two boon strip values for the new Devouring Darkness ability, is this a bug, or is it intended to strip five boons?
"text": "Boons Converted to Conditions",
why so many stealth utilities ? thats a bit overkill. you dont need that much and lose out on something different.
If you must know, I'm (literally) slightly handicapped, having extra stealth is very helpful to my playin…
I think for the vast majority of players, the strength of WvW lies in the pick up and play quality.
Log in, hop on a map, join a tag (or roam), have fun.
This is improved by having a healthy community of players and commanders you know.
