Wait...we can craft legendary items in GW2? That's the best tear or can we craft beyond that?

The best tier stat wise are Ascended weapons, trinkets and armor, and there's tons of ways of obtaining that, map currency, achievements, drops.

Legendary weapons, trinkets and armor are quality of life improvement and a skin. All they do is let you chose stats when out of combat, and you can freely put in and take out infusions and runes, but they have exactly the same stats as Ascended.

Though you don't exactly craft them with crafting disciplines, you craft and otherwise acquire ingredients, then mix the final ones in the Mystic Forge.

In ascended weapons, you need a gemstore item to take out runes if you don't want to destroy them (but it's usually just cheaper to destroy them and buy a new set), and you can change stats via a recipe with an item you craft or buy.

https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Stat_changing

So Legendary is "better" in that it's more convenient, but top tier stats stop with Ascended which is only 10% better than Exotic, so you're not missing out if you have lvl 80 exotics equipped.

So in the crafting like armorsmith or weaponsmith we can go as high as legendary items?

You can go as high as lvl 500 which is required for ascended items. Legendary items are acquired a bit differently, you don't just craft them.

I have to learn so much about this game.

If may ask yet again Veprovina is there a good youtube channel you would recommend for me to watch about guides for this kind of stuff, builds even etc?

I was also wondering in what server you play or if you play on EU, could always use to add some nice people .

There's tons of great ones!

Whenever i'm searching youtube for a particular achievement, or collection AyinMaiden always pops up with one of her easy to follow guides, she's awesome!

Builds, probably ask in the appropriate class forum first, the ones i found on youtube are either 2 hour long needlessly drawn out ordeals or just weird builds in general...

MukLuk also has some nice guides and just general GW2 content you might want to watch in case you're interested.

There's also MightyTeapot and WoodenPotatoes but i don't watch their content a lot. Potatoes has some neat lore videos though.

I am on EU and sure, feel free to add me. But your server doesn't matter, only the region, so as long as someone is on EU, you can add and play with them. The only place your server matters is in World vs World, and that won't matter for long either because they're redoing it well, sooner or later... The first attempt didn't go great so for now we're back on server based matchups, they're trying to change it to guild based matchups.

And Trading post is global, as well as, i think, in game emails...

Hey, welcome to Guild Wars2.

There are two things I want to mention that no one seems to have mentioned so far, mentioning in case you don't know about them.

1. Guild Wars 2 is a horizontal progression game, which means that it isn't like other MMOs where you get new gear every few months and your old gear becomes obsolete. Basically gear and gear stats do not get updated. Once you made your gear, be it Exotic, Ascended or Legendary, it's there forever, there won't be higher stats or a higher gear tier. I personally love this, but there are people who don't like it and I wanted you to know early on.

Also Ascended and Legendary have the same stats, the only difference is that Legendary gear is more convenient, since you can change the stats on it at will (the stat numbers stay similar, but you can change what they're focused on), while Ascended require a few stuff in order to change the stats on them.

2. Living World. Between the game's expansions, you have Living World Episodes, which basically continues the game story and shows what happenes between each expansion. So to have the full game's story and more game content in general, you need to have Expansions + Living World Episodes. The Living World unlock for free for players if they are online when they're released, but if they aren't, they need to buy them using Gems. Since you're new to the game, you'll have most of them locked and you'll need to unlock them by purchasing gems using real money OR gathering gold and exchanging gold for gems from the in-game store.

And now a bonus third thing worth mentioning.

3. The end game in Guild Wars 2. End game here isn't like what you do in other MMOs, where most of the time all you do is raid and that's it. Drop that. Here end game is what you make it out to be.

In PVE you can:

- Do World Bosses and Meta Events (good rewards, bosses are fun, a lot of people are doing them each day)

- Do Achievements/Explore the map

- Do Dungeons/Fractals/Strike Missions/Dragon Response Missions/Raids

- Walk through the world, gathering orbs, wood and herbs to craft or to sell

- Help people on lower level maps, as high level players can play with low level players without issues, since the level of the player adapts to the map on which he is

- Participate in Mount Races/Mount Adventures (first one is racing against other players, second one is doing challenges around the game maps which  you have to clear in a certain time for a reward)

There are more stuff than these, but these are the only ones that come to my mind at the moment.

Basically the end game here isn't really defined as "have the best armor and always do the newest raid". Here end game is mostly what you make it out to be.

Welcome aboard and I hope you'll enjoy this game to its fullest 🙂 There's a lot of exploration to do and a lot to discover, but don't let that discourage you. The game is a bit different from your average MMO and a few things might seem out of place, but you'll get used to them in time 🙂

I noticed as well that the level cap is 80 currently, if i'm not mistaken, do the devs intend to increase the cap or is it going to remain at 80?

80 will remain max. What you can level are Masteries (the highest current level is 366):

About the game mounts, are they all obtainable in the game by playing, fulfilling achievements or they are also obtainable in the store?

The Gem Store only offers licenses for mounts skins. The mounts themselves can only be obtained through gameplay:

About the dungeons and raids, does the game help you to know where the locations are and at what level you can go there?

Yes, their entrances are marked on the map, and for fractals and raids there lobbies which can be accessed in Lion's Arch.

About Legendary weapons can a PvE-only player create one or is it through a mix of PvE and PvP content?

most of the legendary require "gift of battle" which is the item from wvw reward track.  some of the legendary require " Shard of Glory" its a pvp item but you can but it from tp.

none of the legendary can get it by only open world or meta .  if pure PVE legendary item,  it will be  "ad infinitum" , "perfect envoy set" and "coalescence". but those r even harder to get.

A PvE-only player can create a Legendary Weapon, but it can take a very long time if one only acquires Badges of Honor through Achievement Chests.

World vs. World, though, is a mix of PvE and PvP; you can obtain Badges of Honor and Reward Track progression easily by taking part in the PvE parts of WvW.
