I'm planning to pre-order it but haven't yet for reasons which have nothing to do with the game and everything to do with other expenses that keep coming up. They range from nice and exciting (a holiday, and a 4K TV) to boring but necessary (a new boiler) and somewhere in between (a new winter coat) but all mean there hasn't yet been a convenient time for me to spend £70 on a computer game. Since it doesn't release until February I'm in no rush, I'll get it sometime before then but I'm not sure exactly when.

I personally never preorder anything (extremley bizzare concept to me), however what I am doing is waiting to see what the expansion will be like then deciding...I know I won't be buying it for any of the especs which was the main motivator for me to buy the prior ones and the main reason I am not hyped at all for this one. Hoping they'll maybe work on them further after release or on release they'll be..."polished"?..I am stupid?? Yes.

Don't care about fishing and the story/pve..frankly icebrood tasted kinda meh so I am not really optimistic and for some reason I stopped caring for the characters. Also the legendaries being a black lion looking set..and the replay the whole story for a distraction like?..I dunno.

My impression so far...I am really contemplating finding another game to waste my time on instead..but luckily most mmos quality nowadays are -imo- not good anyways at least gw2 needs no sub and the old content is good and is always "relevant" so that may be the main motivator to play it anyway. Might just play it without the expac at all.

No. PvE won't satisfy me. The bonuses from pre-orders I don't give a kitten about. The specs are bad and won't be fixed.

I'll stick to my good ol PoF/HoT combo which is all the game needs. Besides, WvW can have it all. And I main warrior. Couldn't care less running on bladejoke.

Now maybe in the ffar future if I got free time and free money.. I'll consider it. Just cause the turtle may be cool.

ArenaNet destroyed my trust in them with the way Champions was handled, specifically Primordus.  I had waited the thick end of 12 years for Primordus' story to be told and the way it unfolded...well, you can probably guess from my aforementioned comment how it unfolded.

Since then, I have stopped all gem purchases.  I was a decent spender on gems, having amassed quite a number of gem store items, from outfits and skins to keys and boosters (mostly food/utility primers).  In the grand scheme of things, I am a drop in the ocean but that is a primary way of registering my thoughts, along with posting here/social media.

So, the entirety of my decision on whether I purchase End of Dragons comes down to the elite specialisations predominantly and new systems, though they are not starting off well with the new systems for me.  I despise fishing and Skiffs are completely unnecessary because of the Skimmer.

We will wait and see.  So far, it is 50/50 as I love the new elite specialisations.

I've been playing GW2 since launch, taking a few long breaks, and while it's not a perfect game by any means I do enjoy it. So I'll most likely get End of Dragons standard, I think it may end up being the last major content update. I haven't pre-ordered because I generally don't pre-order games, and I don't care much for the pre-order bonuses.

All that said I'm not very excited about what's been shown so far, but I am hopeful that the maps will still be intricate and fun to explore.

Already preordered, I see expansions in this game as a kind of yearly subscription. Though I do buy gems on occasion, the amount of hours I put into this game for free I feel like when paid content is released I owe it to them to buy it. Even if its not the most exciting Xpac to date compared to how hype the others were, because I think, we have seen elites before, seen mounts, seen gliders etc. It will be like a season pass for however long it is until the next paid content drop.

Preordered since GW2 basically is the only MMORPG that I ever really played. (Dislike most others for great treadmill or being too grindy to level to max level.)

Not too happy about the new elite specs though. Some other kind of customization would have been nicer. Main engineer ... and barely played any other classes + tested the elite specs only a few mins. The thief, ele, mesmer - new ones ... seem interesting to me. (So far did not really like thief. Least liked profession for me.)
