What? I didn't say I couldn't open the TP? Really? How about I try underlining the part you are clearly missing then:

I really didn't think I'd need to explain the phrase "to access" for anyone! 😲

I specifically watched the GW2 launcher when I ran it earlier, I did not see any download so I just logged in and then launched the game. Rather surprisingly when I checked the BLTC by pressing the "O" key it opened normally and displayed everything in the Gem Store section correctly! No crash at all. I then went to a Black Lion Agent (Trading Post) and clicked on the Agent, the BLTC Trading Post opened normally. Still no crash. Exited out to the character screen and there was no crash there either. Seems that somehow the issue may well have been fixed for me as well, though I think I'll wait a couple more days to make sure the BLTC continues to function correctly on each of the Gem Store, Gem Exchange and Trading Post sections before I consider this as fully resolved.

I'm currently having this issue myself, I can't even claim the gift as it crashes on opening the gemstore. ;_;

Here is my crash log, not sure if it changes regularly or not, also idk if this makes a difference as to where I am, but it was first noticed for me in the Mistlock Sanctuary.

Can use the TP and currency exchange directly but not the gemstore.  Bought gems last night and everything was working fine. Only happens on my main account. My alts are fine. Cleared the gw2 cache in appdata but no luck.

Oh wow, seeing as the BLTC includes the Gem Store, Gem Exchange and Trading Post (which means all three are merely components or parts of the BLTC) I certainly didn't expect to have to explain all of this to a long time player such as yourself! Yes indeed, some people posting in this discussion did not know that they could open the BLTC Trading Post directly, either by simply right-clicking an item in their bags to sell or simply visiting a "Black Lion Agent (Trading Post)", but my guess would be that most of those are new(ish) players who are still learning all of the various parts of the game. Though I have to say that the "Black Lion Agent (Trading Post)" does have a somewhat large clue as to their function right there in the name! 🙄 I would also guess that when you assumed I was one of those newer players, you simply never bothered to slide your mouse cursor over my profile (over on the left there) to see that I joined in October 2017, which would have given you a pretty big clue that I likely know much more about the game than you assumed I knew, but no, you just saw the low post count and assumed "new player who doesn't know about ......"! 😲

Another big clue was the sentence that started:

That should have informed you that I knew where to type but I wasn't getting the chance to type anything! 🙄

You might want to have a read of the Trading Post page on the GW2 Wiki some day, where it rather clearly states:

The Trading Post (TP) is part of the Black Lion Trading Company panel (default O) that allows players from all worlds (NA and EU) to trade with each other. The Trading Post can be considered a physical representation of the Black Lion Trading Company and its functionality within the game. Trades are anonymous and autonomous: players post offers to buy or sell without having to locate a trading partner.

Never, ever assume anything, because when you do assume something there's a high chance that you will be wrong in your assumption! 😉 But hey, it's all good, you made a mistake and, hopefully, you've learned something from that! 😇 🤣

EDIT: Forgot to add that I would strongly suggest that when you advise players to type "I am Evon Gnashblade" into the TP search you should also explain that it actually changes the TP UI to use a smaller font layout and if they want to revert to the default layout they just need to type "I am Evon Gnashblade" into the TP search again! I wonder how many new players have tried that suggestion and then wondered why the layout in the TP is much smaller for some reason! 🤔 Unless of course you were deliberately trying to somehow prank players who are having a rather serious crashing issue with a suggestion that they wouldn't know anything about! 😲

Same problem since yesterday evening. Opening gem store - game crashed instantly.
Using "I am Evon Gnashblade" helped 1...2 times to able to switch to the gem store without crashing, but afterwards game crashed again.

Seems the problem is related to the account itself. My 2nd account on same computer do not crash the game. 1st account on my 2nd computer also crashed the game there.

Yep, mine's crashing too, but only since patch on the 11th of January, so 2 days ago.  I have tried reinstalling the game on a Win10 computer and swapping client software to the client from the content page attached to this account.  Before doing that, I tried repairing the client and clearing the TP cache on both a Win10 install and Win11.  This morning, all of a sudden, it seemed to be working ok, but after about 2-3 transactions, it started crashing again.  This is a 3 month old Win11 machine and the other one is a 3 year old Win10 machine, both notebooks with no dedicated video card.
