My partner and I are having the same issue. Game sound can be heard but no visuals and it freezes other applications. We play the game completely vanilla (no addons). There goes our evening plans!

Run the game, get to the splash screen, login and crash to desktop.

Mine crashes too, but I got an error window and was able to send the report the first time. I don't have any add-ons or changes to the client, and am running Win10 Home.

The second time I tried launching, I got through the launcher, the game window looked like it was going to start like normal, except then it disabled almost all input: keyboard wouldn't work at all, the mouse could move but not click anything, and I could alt-tab and start the task manager but couldn't click anything. A hard system reboot was the only thing I could do.

Having same issue. Only option was to restart computer. Have done this twice. Going to try uninstalling and re-installing.

Same issue (no addons btw), but I cannot end the game from the task manager as it seems like I'm stuck on an undisplayed game window and can't tab out of it. Only way to end the process is to completely restart my computer as I am locked out of everything else (task bar, other tabs, task manager).

Update, I mentioned I started in a smaller window and had issues going full screen. I just started up and stayed in a windowed version instead of full screen and was able to get in do a few things.

same to me, game is running in background I can hear the music but can't get it to the top, I am on Windows 10 pro and I'm using dx9
client is vanilla, w/o any addons or modifications
my computer freezes and I need to reboot it

Finaly got in after restarts/failed client repair, ran desktop shortcut as admin, worked...fluked idk? give it a try
