Also for the normal event, why didnt I get credit if I fought through the event?

If you have the story chapter active then you’ll see the icon on the map for it.

You probabely did not do the last channel event 100%.

If you've already done it before, you only need to replay the instances in any order you want and can skip everything else. Otherwise, fairly sure you do.

I thought so too. But I cannot see the purple map marker for Return to Dragonstorm. All the rest, yes, not that one. I see One Champion, for example, but not Dragonstorm.

It is the same npc as public and private instance is it not?

No you don't. But maybe you have to talk the the pilot at the same time the public dragonstorm meta starts. Only then I was able to talk to the guy to start the story Dragonstorm chapter out of order.
