captrowdy.9561
The new spec is fun but please let us hide the blades when out of combat. 1
mortrialus.3062
No. Standing around in legendary armor and all my infusions with full blades is literally the only thing I'm looking forward to about this spec. Frostbyte.8314
No. Like what motrialus said, thats the only good thing about Virtuoso.
The Specimen.8973
Take the blade visuals away and it loses the majority of the spec's identity. I'd argue Virtuoso needs more identity, not less. 1
Obliviscaris.6937
It's okay. They despawn when you're downed. Which will be Virtuoso's primary form of play. I spent more time patting downed Virts in PvE events today than I (or they) did fighting the actual enemies. Fueki.4753
The blades need to go out of combat, or at least when the weapons are sheathed. Arenanet could at least add an option to let us disable such particle effects on the client side. Alternatively, Arenanet could simply add that passive Blade generation as a new major trait, rather than force-feeding it as a minor trait, so it's an opt-in feature. The condition traits are bad anyway, so they could easily replaced by this. As long as I'm forced to have that particle effect, I won't play Virtuoso after EoD released.
SkinnyT.5382
I wouldn't say r hide it completely, but I would like to have them appear smaller while out of combat would be nice. Or maybe more translucent?

I actually want the new e-spec to be functional. Why would you suggest a flat out nerf to a spec thats already really bad?
Ludovide.1967
I love the blades. I would like them to maybe have an idle animation when your character is idling, maybe have them sheath with your weapons? But I personally love them and it really cements the virtuoso's visual identity in my opinion.

We already know Arenanet has the technology to hide particle effects when weapons are sheathed since the launch of the game. They just need to apply it here. Changes to major traits would only be a band-aid solution if Arenanet failed to implement already existing code (if they even bother trying to deal with the particle effect). Salt Mode.3780
For PvE its w/e for PvP there is a reason why they wont hide the blades purely because people need tell on how much blades you have and how much damage you are going to be doing. So PvP wise no this is never going to happen PvE it really doesn't matter.

babak.3654
How about we make them useful first and then worry about hiding them. 1 1

MrAmputatoes.6031
You know, thinking about it, the blades are probably always visible as another form of "counterplay" for Mesmer shatters. I doubt they'll ever make them hidden. If they did, you'd instantly hear complaints in WvW and PvP saying, " The Virt is hacking, they instantly got 5 blades and hit me for 7k shatter burst. It's OP." Then you'll see even more nerfs to Virtuoso.
