Please help me to choose main class :)

Hello boys and girls,

since you read this topic you know it´s going to be about classes (proffesions).

I´ve played this game for 2700 hours already and still can´t pick the right main for myself. That´s why I left the game for a one year back before (not anymore lol!)
I gonna play both PvE and PvP, but well who gives a .... about meta haha xD

My first character in this game was a necromancer, I still got him and I´ve done everything with him, like all maps are 100% on this char + full stories, however I can´t stay happy with this class probably, it doesn´t have fast flow in combat as I would like, it does not have many boons too.
I tried all classes in pvp and pve and I think I am mostly stucked among: Necromancer, Mesmer and Elementalist. Tho I am still opened to play some any other class but it feels like magic flows in my veins so I´d like to stick with a magic type of a proffesion 🙂

I played a necro and mesmer in pvp a lot, well elementalist too so I got some experiences with them all.

Even I always played dark classes in other games, feels like I can´t stick with necro? Idk honestly, it feels so slow to play it, but I would love to enjoy it.
I really like mesmer and ele too don´t get me wrong here 🙂

And another point is I would love to play just ONE character ( I don´t like switching among them ) and don´t hate me for this heh 🙂

I don´t really know what to do, I tossed a coin a lot too! I did some calculations but nothing really worked! 😞

Overall, Renegade sounds like a call (could be "magician", for sure it's dark-themed, 100% giga flow playstyle).

I am really considering Mesmer or Necromancer of all classes 🙂 I am about to give revenant another shot, so let´s see 🙂

If you want faster paced necromancer, try the new Harbinger?

It sounds like you've mostly decided on Necro which is a good choice for variety. You can build tanky necros, ranged damage necos,  support necros and with elites you can get melee damage and more support options. They're not always the top, but they are quite satisfactory in most roles.

 

The true king of "does it all" is the Guardian, which can do basically whatever you want. With elite specs, you can get access to some very long range damage, and more support options. Regardless of what you focus on, you will still have access to excellent defensive skills, damage, and support skills, all of which are strong in group-play as well.

 

At various times other classes will join them at the top of the versatility tiers, especially Mesmer and Ele, but the most consistent are Necro and Guard.

Yes I plan to try harbinger too, tho I really like Virtuoso as well, ranged glass cannon spec 🙂 now I really can´t decide between these two classes

Well yes you are right about Guardian, I can see then everywhere (same as necros) they just being more useful in every role LOL! But now I can´t decide between mesmer or necromancer.. and since I made a full light legendary armor few days ago I would like to stick with some light armor class then 😛
