Played it for several minutes first and last beta. Lowering damage on a spec that only brings different ways to deal damage was certainly a much welcome change. Farmed those bandits in Queensdale quite well. The best part about it is certainly feeling like a longbow ranger,  getting to blow people up with full dagger f1 in wvw. Pewpew.

Now I feel bad for not trying queensdale. 

But I certainly showed the inquest in metrica province who's the boss on my Virt. They stood no chance.

I love longbow ranger for PVE and is my most played farming class and I'm so excited to get Virtuoso as well. ignore the others who down vote on the Mesmer forum section.

sometimes it makes me wonder what the devs are actually doing when they try out these things 

 

they literally have to go into pve only, and just think "this looks cool wow i like this", right?

like it's so hard to actually believe they're actually doing anything that would actually make sense from an actual balance and actual gameplay point of view 

there's just physically 0 content in this game that this e-spec makes sense in to pick over literally anything else, so it has to just be some random person's opinion on the internal team saying that this is acceptable because they, for whatever reason, SOMEHOW enjoy the over-exaggerated, massive visual noise these skills are making, and care about nothing else, right?

pve mobs "standing" is what makes them even take damage from the freaking shatters, if they just moved ever so slightly, it literally wouldn't work even on them

I mean its clear how they test out the classes, they put on their godmode of no cd no cast time and just obliterates everything. Just look at the showcases, there was more GM commands inputted then the actual class showcase itself.

Some of them actually move just enough to make the elite skill useless, which is the cherry on top.
