Statue of Melandru HP CONTESTED Cursed Shore

Had a bit of difficulty with this one and figured I'd try to save you folks the hassle.

 

Clearing the temple of Melandru alone won't clear the HP statue (near the temple of grenth) of it's contested status. It wasn't until all the temples were cleansed that the maps worth of uncleansed statues were corrected. You have to cleanse all temples for the Melandru HP to cleanse. For me at the time it was only the Melandru temple and Grenth temple, but all the uncleansed statues on the map were cleared after the last temple was cleared

A long time ago it used to be that every statue in Orr was linked to the corresponding temple (all the statues of Melandru in Orr were under the control of the temple of Melandru for example, and so on), but then Anet changed it at some point so that now the nearest temple is the one that controls the statue (if i remember right). So, you probably just needed to cleanse the temple of Grenth for the statue to become available.

Ever since the release of megaserver it has been "nearest" temple.

The other option is to ignore the temples entirely and just commune while stealthed.
