Returning Player, best world to move to?

Hi all,

I'm from the netherlands and am currently on Blacktide. I'd prefer an english speaking server, with a lot of PvE and WvW and a bit sPvP as well.

 

I'm looking to create a new character and start all over again, even while i have 4 80's.

 

Blacktide shows medium population atm and i just want to move to the best server atm. Any tips? <3

Server affiliation only matters for WvW. Everything you do in PvE or SPvP is shared with everyone in your whole region (like Europe or NA).

Just to be sure, you are aware there is a cost to change servers, whether you choose NA or EU (there is no longer an option to delete all your characters and change servers at no cost)?  You might want to wait until the WvW changes are complete, when World Servers won't impact WvW.

Blacktide is not a bad server.  Not big but decent. 

Servers only matter in wvw.  So I would wait with transfers unless you really know what you want. 

There is no best server there is no real metric.  Especialy now with links you might be at the top one link and at the bottom the next relink. Besides many avoid the top tiers  because its boring. So best server is where you find people you like to play with.

I think basically the advice here is: don't change wvw servers unless you know what you want (you have friends who want you to play in their WvW guild on their WvW server, for instance). The best way to figure out what you want… is to just explore on the server you're already on.
