CmC was in an interview with MightyTeapot and there he mentioned Virtuoso is meant to be a DPS spec with a focus on shattering, hence why they increased blade generation in the second beta.

Which is hilarious because it shatters just as much as Chrono and Core but has worse shatters.

"well designed" is not as opinionated or subjective as some people here are arguing

The issue is, due to how the OP has contextualised it. It doesn't clarify what he ment here.

He stated with this chart he's looking at do these especcs bring a mechanic or a rule breaky system that would negative on the game.

He's stating virtuoso doesn't break any rules, it's well telegraphed, not over bulked with different effects which is how he sees healthy proffession design being for the game itself.

This has been contextualised as if it's some sorta middle finger at the mesmer population and weaponized incorrectly to flame a group of players.

This was never contextualised as does this specc reach the right standard and successfully be the thing it's susposed to be? No.

Because he agrees across the board that things are undertuned overtuned and none of them compare to PoF speccs realistically. So he considers all the elites on that level to be in a bad place right now

He litterally D tiered almost all of them throughout the rest and litterally admitted he was over generous in alot of places to try and not push a negative agenda onto the video as he's aware none of these speccs come close to what we currently has.

He's putting the context on this if every other elites adjusted to the same point as he believes or is hoping these design changes are gonna be reflected in the changes they make to core and current elite options

This is why I called the video a fluff piece.  Teapot is providing an opinion about what was known at that point in time, and the discussion in this and other related videos is about what could be.

I get it, people want to talk about EoD, want to get different peoples opinions, want to share their thoughts.  Until we actually have EoD and the eSpecs in our hands, the majority of talk is simply opinion.

We know that EoD will not launch exactly as Beta 4 (I can't imagine it stays the same), but we don't know what might change.  We don't even know what changes to existing eSpecs will happen that will shift the meta.

I'd be interested to see a similar video from Teapot a week or so after EoD launches and see how it all shakes out.

and OP thinks of it as some kind of "Own" is simply proof why intellectual disability is such a rampant problem.

Everything else teapot said I have no problem with, but is ultimately superfluous to this forum thread. It doesn't change the objective standard of what "well designed" actually means, and a lot of people here are going back and forth over it when it doesn't actually matter. Teapot or anyone really can have the opinion of design in a vacuum, set a standard and criteria, and see if "the thing" hits those specific criteria. And I don't personally knock him or anyone else for that, Only one where I'm really calling out is OP.
