falviani.2830
The description for notarized scrolls, says (paraphrased) "good for random hero point from XXX". If you buy enough of these from a single expansion to get all of the HPs, can you buy more and get "duplicate" hero points? If not, that would seem to really limit their usefulness. Thanks in advance.
Danikat.8537
There's no way to duplicate hero points, once you've got the point/s from a particular challenge you can't get them again on that character. It does limit how useful the scrolls are. Their main uses are for WvW players who don't want to do a bunch of PvE just to unlock elite specs and for quickly unlocking elites on new characters.
Kaltyn of Torbins Deep.294
Hero points are character specific, unlike mastery points. So if you buy more scrolls than there are hero points, you can use them on a different character.
Erich.1783
Thee are other things you can use testimonies for, particularly some recipes if you prefer to not use the map currency. https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Testimony_of_Heroics If you get more of the HoT specific ones than you need, using them will convert them to Proof of Heroics, which have some other uses. https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Proof_of_Heroics Edited January 18, 2022 by Erich.1783
