ABCD.3965
I've decided to hop back in GW2 bus after a long time (may be 5 years or even more) I have all characters @lvl80 all geared with at least exotic sets of all kinds and stats some have legendary gears. I was surprised that my gear was actually still viable, still the same, which got me more exited as I'm not really falling behind to that extent. I am mainly interested in WvW roaming and sometimes arenas, back in the days condition builds were the gods of roaming 1v1 or 1vX but after trying them, I just found that the new meta is power builds, were condition builds nerfed? I prefer to play mesmer phantasm build, why do my pistol phantasms turn to clones is it a bug? I just need your advice to help me stick to 1 or 2 classes and gear them like they should be, as I'm now really confused. The Boz.2038
Congrats on the legendaries! Now *all* your characters have them! What leggies do you have? What other characters? Sadly, I don't have a Mesmer, so can't help you on that front.

I just read about the Mesmer, Now phantasms automatically turn to clones, that sux, I guess I'll just plat the meta berserker deadeye thief with rifle. Alcatraznc.3869
Power build didnt really got buffed, in fact it got slightly nerfed. Condition got a lot of buff in general in the form of stackable condition, expertise stat and old special boon turning into regular boon (like celerity), though the latter is more a matter of boon corruption. For roaming condition remains very strong (personnally I consider trailblazzer gear to be too strong considering how forgiving that gear allows you to be) but when outnumbered, you will deal with personnal and aoe cleanse so it kind of becomes less effective. Now as far as big mesmer change goes, I'm not a specialist but I know fantasm no longer stays fantasm. They spawn, do their attack once or twice and turn into clones. No it is not a bug it is how it works now. Mesmer are still annoying in WvW because of their veil, mass stealth, portal and teleport but I havent played mesmer in WvW for a while now. However for PVE, condi staff Mirage is so stupid, especially against mob that attacks really fast. It also stacks a lot of torment so if you can play around him at close range so it doesnt move, it can deal quite a lot of damage.

Gibson.4036
I haven't been playing WvW for very long, but it's my understanding that it's not about conditions or power geting buffed or nerfed, but that AoE condition cleanse has become so common that bringing condi to WvW Zerg fights is handicapping your ability to do damage. Absolutely, I've noticed that.
