There should be zero rewards for losses, and actually lose pips for losses in a row.

Anet, please kitten off majority of players who gets unlucky team mates asap. And that crowd which is (987x22/5)*9!*π*|sin33+cos55| of the minority playing pvp just for getting whatever item they are chasing, tell them to go fork themselves in the eye.

 

Nobody's awarding people that fail. Maybe that was the case in early 19th century, or around the industry revolution when child workers forced to work in factories, but in 21st century, we reward people who try, participate and contribute. I don't know what type of environment did you grow up in, but from this point forward, you should quit giving real life references to define a video game's rewarding system.

I don't agree with the Op suggestion. It won't change anything.

 

It's still 5v5. 5 players will win. 5 will lose. Rewards are already significantly better for winning than for losing so every player plays to win right now.

Having no rewards for losing isn't going to give you a better chance of being on the winning team nor get you better or more motivated team members.

Having no rewards for the efforts of a lost game will just lead to more frustration and toxicity.

 

I would say: Leave it as it is and get some other measures against botting, like having to complete a captcha every x hours of sPvP gaming.
