Staff Ele - Underperforming as both a dps and support weapon. It's outclassed by dagger/focus in both roles in  PVP.  Damage is too slow and avodable. Lava Font and Eruption deal laughable levels of damage even as full glass. Meteor Shower is a long cast for a very small payoff. Even if the stars allign and you play a glass canon staff weaver free casting on a node with no resistance, you'll still struggle to move health bars if people simply walk out of your circles. 

Can't even use the excuse "Not every weapon needs to be good in every game mode" because this weapon only shines in WvW, and it's still outclassed at it's ONE job. 

Chronomancer - You've acknowledged that this proffession is more fragile than intended. You've stated that your goal is to find a way to give it defense without simply buffing its sustain because that isn't the intended design of mesmer. 

Have I told you about this phenomenal mechanic called distortion. Very fitting for a mesmer wouldn't you think? Would certainly fix those fragility problems without giving it more sustain. 

Warrior - Just... needs help in general. What even is a Berserker, I sure as hell haven't seen one in weeks.

That's so true about ele though. I tried out some condi tempest celestial build in wvw the other day and I honestly feel like most of the damage I did was from magnetic aura and burns from fire fields. Not the actual meteor shower. Even ranger longbow 5 seems to be more punishing to zergs than meteor shower. Spamming mortar seems to be more effective than cycling through 4 attunements and landing easily avoidable and highly telegraphed skills.  

 

I'm guessing they just try to shoehorn ele into some bruiser melee spec constantly because they try to do things differently from other games and with ele resembling a "mage" in other games they try to create this awkward playstyle that just overwhelms people. 

 

That being said I think they did a great job with the flow of weaver and it was one of my favorite specs added to the game. It's viable but for being the lowest hp, lowest armored spec in the game, the amount of viable ranged options we have is laughable. Was really hoping to see some more significant changes to catalyst because I don't think it's going to be a very popular choice, and if it is it will likely just be due to core passives like damage on stun or the same weapon setups we've been using for years just to make itself viable.

But hey, in EoD us ele lovers will get to summon a stationary cyclone that does less damage than warrior axe 5. It's all about that silver lining!

The counter to boon rip meta in wvw is pulsing boons or constant reapplication. Catalyst can offer decent stability application and on demand fields in the frontline. Its a viable choice and being able to cleave downes bodies from ranged is pretty valuable.

I didnt get to test it out but double meteor with quickness and relentless shower sounds pretty good damage
