No way to buy End of Dragons the website always gives an error.

Tried several times on the website to buy End of Dragons using Paypal and also my credit card but it always gives an error, even tried different browsers.

 

Why have an expansion if it's not possible to buy it, I would have liked to play it on the day of release as I have always done with the other releases.

I'm also having issues after making an attempt to purchase last night. At the final step I always get error 80808 across different payment methods, connections, browsers, and devices. It just says to contact support, so likely some bad fraud detection. It is also available from Amazon, but they had at some point explicitly removed from the listing's description that it includes the pre-purchase bonus items, so I'm rather hesitant. Support has not gotten back to me yet.

Speak of the devil, support just responded to my ticket and resolved it. This is not the first time I have dealt with businesses indefinitely blocking accounts because of their anti-fraud systems, frustrating legitimate consumers to jump through a hoop that is not any more secure against fraudsters, so I can't single ArenaNet out, but I obviously disagree with the practice.

I don't know what error the above posters are seeing, so there's still a chance it could be something different.

100414. They say it's my bank  blocking the process. But banks don't block payments for no reason. Something triggers it and I'd bet that that something is their payment site!

The same here. My wife was able to buy it through our paypal account via TP.

I got error 80808. ticket written at 7.14 am. I am still optimistic that I will be there for the release.

Update:

The purchase limit was changed.
After 7h everything was done.

Has gone well with me. Thanks to the support.

I'm scouring the support website trying to find an email or phone number or something. I got an 80808 as well, I just dont know who to contact.

Apologies to them here. It was my bank w/ some security stuff. When I sorted this out to buy game was np at all.

Normally the support goal is 72 hours or less.  But they get delayed at times and from my experience this is true when expansions or other big game changes occur.
