Balance patch prediction

After seeing how these have gone for the past 5 or so years, I have made a prediction for this balance patch. My guess will be that the patch will look something like this:

ElementalistFor this balance patch we wanted to make scepter more viable in different play styles so we've decided to buff it. Dagger will also be recieving some changes that we believe will be for the better, and lastly we will be looking at focus. Weaver will have minor changes to make it more friendly to the player base.

  • All scepter skills now deal 1 more damage at lvl 80.
  • Burning Speed will now only move the play a distance of 150
  • Cleansing Wave will no longer remove conditions.
  • Fire Shield's cooldown has been increased by 5s
  • Magnetic Wave's cooldown has been increased by 5s
  • Woven Stride's ICD has been increased to 10s.
  • Dual skills now have 3s longer cooldowns

EngineerFor engineer and holosmith we find that not sword isn't as viable as we had hoped and we will be looking at the exceed skills.

  • Prime Burst Light cooldown has been increased to 75s
  • Cauterize removes less conditions to avoid killing the engineer with burning damage
  • Laser Disk's cast time has be reduced to 0.5s.
  • Refraction Cutter no longer fires projectiles to make the weapon entirely melee. This will hopefully make sword stronger.

GuardianPlayer's have found Firebrand too hard to kill and axe to be too weak.

  • Tome of Justice now has a 40s cooldown
  • Shining River give 4s of swiftness instead of 5.
  • Stalwart Stand's description no longer mentions Palawa Joko.
  • Symbol of Vengence now also pulses superspeed
  • Blazing Edge deal 5% more damage.
  • Mighty Blow deal 15% less damage.

MesmerWe hope to address he complaints many mesmers have had with Mirage's design and hope to fix them.

  • Mirage Cloak has been rework to be a normal dodge roll.

NecromancerMany have complained that necromancer is too weak while other's have said it's too strong, hopefully this is a fair balance for both parties.

  • Nefarious Favor's cooldown has been reduced to 3s
  • Sand Cascade applies 10% more Barrier
  • Sand Flair no longer heals the player, but applies barrier equal to the amount healed.
  • Serpent Siphon now has a 45s cooldown.

RangerThe Arenanet team is very proud of Soulbeast and we hope to fix some longstanding issues with it.

  • Beastmode Various animation fixes
  • Instinctive Engage has received an animation fix.

RevenantRevenant has seen some diverse roles in the past and with the addition of Renegade a few of those require addressing.

  • Sword damage has been reduced by 10%
  • Order's From Above energy cost has been increased to 35.
  • Surge of the mists can now only hit once per second.
  • Sevenshot now only fires 5 shots.
  • Spiritcrush's duration has been reduced to 1s.
  • Pain Absorption now has a 10s ICD.
  • All Legendary Renegade skills have 30% less hp
  • Breakrazor's Bastion no longer reduces incoming condition damage.
  • Razorclaw's Rage costs 25 energy now and the cooldown has been reduced to 15s, and now can apply 50 stacks of bleeding if 5 players stand in the radius for the full 10 seconds.
  • Righteous Rebel no longer reduces incoming condition damage.
  • Lasting Legacy no longer increases the number of attainable stacks.

TheifOne of the most powerful new additions to the game has been the Deadeye and we hope to address it's newfound prowess.

  • Deadeye's Mark now has a 1s cast time
  • Spotter's Shot has had a damage reduction of 30%
  • Death's Retreat no longer applies poison.
  • Double tap deal 15% less damage
  • Mercy may no longer be used underwater.
  • Shadow Meld no longer removes Revealed.
  • Fire for Effect no longer provides might around you.

WarriorWarrior's have rejoiced with the introduction of spellbreaker and we believe it to mostly be in a good place. However many player's seem to be taking Revenge Counter and this change should make all players happy.

  • Full Counter now counts as 3 stacks of adrenaline spent.
  • Wastrel's Ruin's cast time has been reduced to 0.25s
  • Natural Healing no longer removes boons
  • Attacker's insight's maximum stacks has been increased to 25
  • Revenge Counter the current effect of this trait (+20% dmg, copy 5 conditions, 2s of Resistance) has been made baseline. Revenge counter now refills the warriors adrenaline upon hitting.

Burst Skills now recharge Full Counter

LOL'd.. Full Counter recharging Burst skills, which recharges Full Counter which..

Too good, it'll happen.

tbh after hot they have changed that to random icd /cd increase and direct dmg buff on condi skill .also nerf mes and engi but call it a buff (see engi rifle or mes mantra )hopefully they can "buff" war more often

Nah, the warrior only got slightly buffed.Let me help you.

Warrior:

Full Counter: On hit, recharges Full Counter

Natural Healing: Remove all conditions on warrior then healing. Then remove all boons on target.

No Escape: Reworked into Meditative intent, which reduces meditations cd by 20%. Meditations now grant you resistance.

Enchantment Collapse: Remove a boon from a foe cause all nearby foes to lose additional boons, which cause all nearby foes to lose additional boons, which cause all nearby foes to lose additional boons, which cause all nearby foes to lose additional boons. Gain 2 sec resistance for every boons removed. Win the game if you reach 60 sec resistance.

Elementalist

  • Shatterstone: now deals 7% additional damage if it hits multiple targets
  • Shatterstone: Increase vulnerability stacks from 5 to 6
  • Riptide: Fixed a bug where the evade was too long.

Engineer

  • Holo Leap cooldown increased to 2.5 seconds in PVP only

Guardian

  • -

Mesmer

  • Fixed a couple bugs

Necromancer

  • Cripple duration from corrupts reduced by 1 second.

Ranger

  • -

Revenant

  • Renegade buffed the fuck out by ridiculous amounts.

Thief

  • Death Judgment damage reduced by 15%
  • Kneel ammo recharge increased by 5 seconds
  • Dash: Now also removes torment
  • Dagger autoattack: Spamming 1 now gives you a trophy.

Warrior

  • Full Counter: Cooldown increased by 1 second.

Renegade is so bad that, even thought I always expect the worst, I will be surprised if they actually nerf it.

I won't be. This is Arenanet we're talking about, nerfing Revenant is something they do everypatch due to what I can only assume is tradition.

Forget you all, you all wrong. I got the 100% accurate balance patch prediction right here & right now. AND YOU ALL WILL BE AMAZED BY my ACCURACY . I predict a lot of crying, shouting, screaming, irritation, exasperation, frustration & seasoned in full bags of fresh grinded salt on tomorrows pvp patch.Tell me i'm wrong...

To be fair, I don't like Mirage Cloak exactly because of that. I'm so used to automatically moving when hitting my dodge button that sometimes I get lost when I dodge as Mirage and stay in place.

This is funny but a bit too obviously sarcastic.

Anets past shows they usually do nerf what is being played more and buff the under represented. They just don't do it correctly.

For instance with spellbreaker they will probably do something silly like nerf the strength line while leaving defense and spellbreaker itself alone, even though the most common meta build for SB doesn't even use strength at all.

For what isn't being used much they will give it tiny buffs that don't address what's wrong with it. Like with Renegade they will probably give it random CD buffs like "Orders from above has 4s less cooldown" which completely ignores the overarching problem with Renegade which is that making a support build glass cannon doesn't work.
