Latest update and GW2 now has no sound at all.

GW2 was working on Tuesday night but since it updated itself  today there is total silence in game - even at the Character selection screen.

 

I'm using Windows 7 x64, and all my other apps and media players, plus Factorio seem fine.

 

I've tried resetting GW2 sound option to default, and even tried to change sound playback device but no luck.

 

 

Just an update - tried the speakers on full volume and GW2 is giving a low buzzing sound.

When GW2 quits then the low buzzing stops .

I've managed to get normal sound in the latest GW2 but only by installing a fresh Windows 7 x64 on another PC.

 

This PC is identical to the no-sound one except its on-board audio works. The audio in the no-sound one uses an older sound card because its on-board audio is damaged. Both motherboard are Z75-GD65.

 

Since starting to write this update - the no-sound PC has just now failed and won't even boot up.

 

At least GW2 is working and the no-sound problem was most likely was not GW2's fault :)
