About the pact after EoD.

When we talk to Logan after the big fight, he talks about the pact splitting up. Or atleast that a part of them want that.

I don't think this would make much sense if it's actually going to happen.

As seen in Orr, it will take many more years until the threat of the remaining dragon minions is dealt with.

A perfect job for the pact. Clean up. Splitting the pact up now is way to early.

I can see the three orders stepping back from joint missions a bit. Basically they stop delegating full authority to the pact marshall until such time as they are convinced of a common mission. They can still keep Logan and some top pact people around to coordinate resources for these missions as they come up.

Narratively I think Anet wants to keep their options open, but in general the pact should not be the major focus of our story again, unless they are going to do a really different take. That's basically how they have been treated since HoT though, put more in the background.

Pretty much my opinion on the matter, even Logan seemed to think that the Pact splitting up was a bad idea, citing how much they have been able to accomplish together.

And as you mentioned the Risen are still infesting Orr and part of Cantha. Mordrem still rampage in the Maguuma. The Branded still inhabit the massive dragonbrand that spreads across the Desert and Elona. And Icebrood and Destoryers still remain across Tyria following Primordus and Joarmg's invasions during Champions.

The Risen and Mordrem are the only threats active.

The brand was cleansed by Aurene's "rebranding" (harhar) as stated in icebrood saga start. Icebrood and destroyers were wiped out alongside their respective dragons, with only handfuls left in any real form.

edit: The Pact really just served as joint command/resource for the three orders to fight the dragons. So the Pact disbanding doesn't really mean the orders would be ended.

This is incorrect.

The Dragonbrand was only purified in certain parts in the Charr Homelands/Ascalon, and Bangar's claim about that destroyer being the last branded is proven to be just PR speak in Grothmar. There's that achievement to repair the thumper devices that force Branded out from underground, and the related NPC mentions theres actually still a lot of Branded hiding underground.

There is nothing indicating that Aurene has had time to purify the brand throughout the Crystal Desert, or Elona, or that the Branded have been eradicated from those regions.

Besides the literal fact that they comment upon Aurene having been cleansing the brand, so it makes no sense to be purely about the Charr homelands. Likewise if Bangar's claim about the destroyer being the last one is so false, then how come... Idunno. NONE of the pact, Commander, etc actually comment on that? Or hell, Almorra much? We'd directly see her calling him out for that kitten if it wasn't true. edit: Or ash legion. Or Iron legion... Yes branded still exist but not in any real massed form. It's also directly mention the brand stompers were sabotaged, allowing the branded to gather up.

They immediately ask what Aurene is doing to the old brand scars, and Commander and Gorrik instantly respond with "Purifying them." and "It's entirely benevolent. With even Rytlock talking about how there is nothing to worry about. This would imply that Aurene had actively been cleansing the brand scar and simply just got up to Grothmar. It's odd for them to instantly have that information available if all Aurene cleansed was within Grothmar Valley and it's region to the south.

Edit: Also the fact that the Ambassador from Elona makes no reference to having trouble with the brand that kinda slices Elona in half, which would be a major problem to the very young new republic.
