It's like they had no time/resources to implement them, and they got released with the placeholder they had for alfa-testing. Also stuff like specter shroud not showing how much of the shroud is left, or revenants stuck in the looping dodge animation on some clients side don't help either. It doesn't have good animation since the spec is half baked (probably cause they were developed 3 months before the betas), it didn't have animation on the first beta since it worked like shouts and not like elixirs and rightfully so people told them they were boring and they sucked and Arenanet just copy pasted the engi animation and gave them active part. The issue here is that engi elixirs do not need telegraph for the enemy since they are just buffs, but the necro ones are damage and they can kill you and being lazy with animations just shows that the "Skill" devs need some talking too if they have anyone left that is and the game is not made by the janitor. I do not have that big expectations for the balance patches, it is quite clear that Arenanet does not understand their own game and how people play it, their most supported mode open world pve showed that the balancing and skill design is terrible with the DE meta. The whole force the players to learn the game in one meta is stupid and it stems from bad balancing based on "snowcrows" benchmarks, like the fact that if you don't stack all the damage multipliers you do kitten all damage. They talked about your average player doing 1/10 of a raider dps but didn't try to bridge the gap with balancing, no no leave the "community" solve the issue. They can't solve the issues of their cash cow bread and butter mode what is left for the mode that they ignore like it has the plague. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
