Another returning player question

Recommended Posts

Yo, returning player after about 5 years.  I have decided to start a new class instead of trying to relearn my engineer.  I remember the gameplay of an engineer was very busy/click intensive.  Can someone suggest a profession that is simpler to play, but still desirable in groups?  Not looking for what's meta, but don't want to start playing a class where no one wants in their group.

Guardian or nerco and their elite specialisations work in all aspects support ,condi ,dps

Fract ,raids ,dungeons, strike ,open world ,metas ,pvp and wvw always the most used classes less complex then other professions from my point of view

That’s how engineer used to be. If you choose the elite specializations it’s much more subdued than it used to be. You still have access to kits if you need them but you won’t need as many as before. Holosmith is great and so is mechanist for dps and general exploration. Idk if I’d recommend scrapper for anything but WvW…. Possibly quickness and super speed support.

if you’re looking for desirability everyone’s doing mechanist support since it came out. Big shields, alacrity, and good access to lots of heals.

I'm just going to point out that there is a 20k DPS one button build for the new engi elite, Mechanist.  Granted, this is on the golem, but, still, you press one button once...
