WvW Experience Reward Track?

I was thinking of something of an Experience reward track to grant massive Experience to help people jump up in Ranks on WvW. To make it fair, make it cost 100g and set it to grant you a max of 500 WvW ranks or 1,000 ranks as a 1 time deal? Kind of like a headstart in WvW.

Would this hurt any type of play in WvW?

IMO, it will help people who are new and like to play WvW rank up quicker as ranking up thousands of levels is quite slow to get the required ranks for the cool gear. Although I do understand if some people hate this idea due to the fact of the time they played and time invested for their Rewards. Just thought I'd put this out there and see what people thought.

Sorry but like no.Many of us spent years in wvw getting those ranks, and now you want to just hand off 500-1000 ranks for 100g? How long do you think it takes to make 100g? a laughable amount compared to the time it takes for 500-1000 ranks. Plenty of boosters already around to help, celebration booster 100%, wxp booster 50%, guild wxp booster 10%, guild claim aura 10%, outnumbered 25%.

The highest rank you will ever need is 2k ranks if you want to purchase the sublime chest piece, every other requirement of the other pieces, maxing out wvw mastery (like under 1300 ranks), and legendary back piece requirements(like 350 ranks) are all under that amount. The next 8k after that is just bonus and titles.

Pof elites, all 9 maxed out within the first couple of days mainly due to proofs earned from wvw chests. I used 1 toon to explore the 5 maps fully AFTER she was full mirage via proofs, that exploration took me a week, for ONE TOON!

It takes what a buck over 1k to max all wvw masteries? What's alittle extra help here and there, it's not like anyone is suggesting insta 1k ranks.

First off, I don't farm gold in PVE, but I'm working on learning how to so I can get the cool new mount skins.

Secondly, I'm not entirely sure how long it took to farm the proofs, but I know when they were introduced and that since then I used them to bypass alot of HOT content as well.

Lastly, I know it took 4 years to get to rank 2100 in wvw (without eotm farming) and yes, it's probably a bit quicker for those starting now, but not that quick, and especially so if you don't play the game as it was apparently intended.

But, just say everyone did play as intended...what's the point of having ram mastery maxed if you're just going to sit on the sidelines, never using it and eventually growing tired of wvw without ever experiencing the joy of setting someone on fire with a ram, firing rocks at a gate with a cata or cows at a sentry with a treb?

If we want new people to care more about defense, repairing, learning something, getting somewhere faster, being able to contribute extra supply, if we ever hope to split up blobs and get more small scale going, or if we just want people to decide for themselves, not for their commamder, zerg, friends or random map people, but for their own playstyle, what amongst the overwhelming list of masteries they want to try first, then, they need some way to be able to level quicker so they won't have to rely on others telling them how to play their game.

Ok. Let me start over because I think I came across as 'get off my lawn'

I am not opposed to some short cuts to WvW rank, or gaining it quicker. I am opposed to a purchase system with gold.

Increase booster efficiency, increase drop rate of kegs or drops of WvE experience, increase the percentage of WvW XP for events or kills..

Just not a 'I have gold, I am buying rank. That's all.

To get proofs, you had to play WvW. That's all I'm saying.
