YoukiNeko.6047
Basically allow the Griffon to gain height. But not the 'climbing invisible stairs' kind of flight. This can be forth Griffon mastery and it can be locked behind mastery point for each zone or a zone complete.Locking it behind a mastery and zone complete/zone mastery, will at least make sure that players first clear the zone the normal way, and then receive flying as a reward. KTap.4381
While it would be nice for a lot of scenarios, I think it would do more harm to the game in the end. It would completely trivialize exploration and getting from A to B, which is already enhanced enough by the current mounts we have in game. Falson.5284
There's already a fight ceiling that takes into account the height of your last takeoff point so you wouldn't really be able to get any higher if they made this change. The current dive and climb system is more than sufficient to gain a little altitude to a point and they don't want us to be able to gain a lot of altitude over our starting position. It will never happen
Sir Vincent III.1286
I rather have them give the Griffon the hover ability.

It will never happenI know there is. I've tried my best to figure a way of breaking it so I can fly. And why 'it will never happen' ?When GW2 launched things like raids, ascended gear and mounts were in the 'never happen' category too.
Aarean.5398
I dont understand, I have become really good at the height climb method but I watch these videos of people going way above the clouds like miles up in large maps like divinities reach. Was this griffon mount ceiling added recently? I have noticed I have a terrible time gaining height once I reach up a certain ways.
Thereon.5219
I wouldn't mind it but considering the upheaval people threw when they found out the Griffon was in the game and the forum was covered in posts about how it was going to obsolete everything else in the game (gliders/content/other mounts) I doubt it would happen. Ohoni.6057
They seem to have spent a lot of time getting the griffon balance "right" I'm fine with it.
Zeivu.3615
We can already zip around the world crazy fast when we max Griffon. Using the jump key while diving shoots you across the map at an insane speed.
Vrita.7846
If this happens, than the Springer will be made completely useless. It's not going to happen.
YoukiNeko.6047
Well most mounts are already useless if you don't like them. Some people don't use them at all, but they are still in the game. Then again giving the Griffon triple jump won't really make the Springer useless, because with the Springer you can jump really high vertically while the Griffon will lead you forward with every jump.Anyway I really enjoyed flying with the Griffon and I would like to see system like that implemented to make it even more fun and allow for full flight. Ohoni.6057
Thinking about it, one thing that I think could be very cool is instead of making Griffons better, because they're already pretty cool, why not give them the same #4 ability everyone else has, one that makes other mounts better? Why not Maxing the Griffon gives every other mount Double Jump? This shouldn't make anything OP, because the Griffon can already double jump and the Springer can jump higher than that. You can't get it without already having all these options on other mounts. Here's how I see it working:Raptor: Just make the "long jump" have a vertical equivalent to a Springer mobile hop. Springer: You can jump again once in mid-air, which if my guess is right would give you a mobile jump of maybe half to 3/4 of a maxed out high jump. This would NOt apply to the high-jump, you still couldn't go any higher than maxed, this would just make you more mobile at speed. Skimmer: If you rise, then release it and rise again, you can gain a little added height but it falls off quicker to normal height. This might present some "you shouldn't be here" issues, but I figure Griffons can probably reach any place a Skimmer could.Jackal: Just have each teleport raise you up about one jump height higher. Or maybe half a jump height each. You should still fall after your third jump, it shouldn't gain enough height to keep level over time, but hopefully you could stay level a bit longer than currently. It might be cool if they added small "ghost wings flapping" when you activate this option, but that's optional. ;)
