Tree Song:
Removes 5 condis on up to 5 allies, grants regen, grants endurance per ally and condition removed.
3 second cooldown.

The fact that this was released in this state, and was even buffed in the beta is insane. This 1 skill practically makes your team immune to condi, while giving you huge endurance regen for your 5k heal dodges. And then there is the absurd stacking of damage reduction with dwarf and urn and traits.

You seem to forget that you need your allies to be packed quite tightly for this ground targeted skill to offer you enough endurance for it to be worth. It's not the kind of situation that you'll find often in sPvP.

Also, it's yet another case of an apple compared to an orange as, all in all, the fact that it's ground targeted, have a cast time (1s) and a medium energy cost (20) can explain the CD as all this is quite a steep opportunity/cost compared to the warrior's shout you're refering to. Without forgeting vindicator's own inate drawback of not having an endurance bar allowing 2 consecutive dodge, which is the reason that the alliance's legend skill have endurance gen on them.

Good thing the cooldown is 3 seconds and using it on yourself is more than worth it just for the endurance regen.

That is the one skill that makes vindi viable at the moment and without it allowing vindi to survive against +'s from harbinger then its pretty much trash. As a sidenoder it has extremely low damage and no knockbacks to force any sort of decaps so it eventually loses node 1v1 to any decapper builds while it can't return the favor against really anything whether it be side node, roamer, support, etc. almost everything can all hold full cap against it at least for a very long time. Tree song also lets it work pretty well in 2v2's because it helps teammate out otherwise it would have major "all my friends are dead" syndrome, and if you go for a more offensive vindi build its still reliant on tree song to survive against condi and just starts hard losing 1v1 to various power builds while not picking up many winning matchups. As a dps or a roamer it simply doesn't have the damage output to function effectively while being crippled with one dodge that costs twice as much and is extremely buggy.

This wouldn't have been a thing if expertise did actually matters. You know something is wrong when a cleansing skill is considered broken in a power meta. SMH

I dont have an actual opinion on the topic as i rarely see those vindicators actually.

I just wanted to point out that, altho i agree that we are mainly in a powermeta in spvp atm... There is Condispectre and condiHarbinger being pretty popular atm. Also there is ALOT of weakness atm.  so Having a good cleansing is pretty important, altho a majority of opponents will be powerbased.

gotta love energy class, you can basically reallocate all your energy to defensive and be a lot more harder to kill, sure you does no damage, but the options are there and will make the class so much better then the rest.

 

when focused just allocate all energy to defense, and be way harder to kill then when you balance damage and sustain, you don't need damage anyway when focused.

when people got off you, you can then use energy to do damage

 

such convenient. unlike some classes which you only get a set amount of defensive and can not trade offensive for extra sustain.
