Flow.2947
At the moment it only says border-waypoint. It doesn`t say which borderland the wp is. By naming the border way points navigation will be easier. You could give it the name "Red Border Waypoint" or when alliances come out you name it after the alliance eg. Mogolooo Border Waypoint... same goes for Emergency Wp. By naming them you will see which borderland and which Objective Also a feature can be to jump into wvw by using linked wp`s eg. in guild chat. This would also be an opportunity to defend objectives more easily and get ppl in an alliance to jump in the locations and not have 2 loading screens to defend an objective. The accessibility would be improved as well. 1 1

When you click on it, it opens the swishy map screen. Then you have to zoom out to see what's what. It is silly the current way WvW WPs work, but it's hardly gonna be a big improvement to change things, and what with WvW having just the one dev, i really can't see it ever happening. QoL and WvW don't go together.

How often did you had the situation when you read the chat of an EWP and the person doesn't write where it is because of being mid fight and when you are also mid combat do you really want to open the map to see where it is?

I either wont care about the EWP due to being in combat or due to the fact I dont jump to EWPs with zero info because that's kitten scouting and I dont tolerate it, I'd rather let the enemy take whatever the EWP is on. So not often. In fact, I cant remember even having seen someone pop EWP link in guild chat because that would be pointless. How often did you had the situation when you read the chat of an EWP and the person doesn't write where it is because of being mid fight and when you are also mid combat do you really want to open the map to see where it is? 1. Turn on chat channels. 2. Clicking on the ewp opens the map, you can do the same thing by pressing M. You still have to click on the actual waypoint to use it. 3. You cannot port while in combat unless it's your queue to another map pop, so you might as well find a safe spot and look at the map anyways. 4. Mostly three possible places for an ewp on borderlands because it's rarely used for towers. Only one mostly for ebg. Not hard to find them. 5. There's only two border waypoints that have the same name, ebg has it's own name, and home has citadel. When you click on it does the same thing as the ewp, just links to you to it and you still have to click on the waypoint. 6. Sure they could name them after the color of the map, but it takes like 2sec of looking on the map to figure these things out, and also if you're just clicking off this on chat following a commander, do you really need to know what map it is in chat before making a decision to follow? 7. Most times attack warnings and then ewp usage warnings are given. Anyone who just pops ewp without any scouting would sound real sketchy, as in someone trying to draw people off another map that queued. Check maps before you move anyways to avoid trolling. 8. It would be nice if they could fix the ewp not showing up at all on another map, which has been happening more recently.
Lucy.3728
I hate looking on the map when someone posts a link. And I'm not new to wvw. I still can't keep the towers names of the border lands in my mind. I'd like it simple, like how it's used in chat on some servers... north camp, east camp, west camp, south camp. West tower, east tower. Hill, bay, base/garri. No need to look on maps to know where to go. The southern stuff uses its colors. Red camp, red tower etc... that's kind of already there. If someone else, wants the WPs named (I thought there were already), then who minds? Like it changes anything for those who are not asking for it. Justine.6351
I feel this is somewhat related to being a different color each week, which I find quite annoying and confusing.
