I really enjoy Power Soulbeast these days - Keep it that way and spread the love to other Power Builds

Although I am a bit sad our giga burst had to die for this, One Wolf Pack and Stance Share in general became boring and almost meaningless, I gotta say:
The buffs to power coefficients, in particular to main hand axe, did wonders for the build.

Suddenly, I am able to run it REALLY well and deliberately enjoy in Fractal CM+T4 PUGS, many Strikes, many Raids and go toe to toe with quite many powerful and popular condition (ranged) builds, even on encounters heavily favoring said condis like Sunqua CM or Ankka Strike.

It's super reliable, deals a lot of damage at range and is really easy to pick up and get into. It still requires you to flank, melee and use your burst window well to reach it's full potential but that's fine in my book. It feels much better to play than this super punishing, super bursty Build Power Soulbeast was over the last years, that worked great in a good environment and on certain bosses, but underperformed terribly almost everywhere else.

If you are into Power Builds and didn't give it a try yet - Feel free to give it a shot, I really reccomend it.

I would really like to see if you people at ArenaNet could spread the love to other power builds, by lowering the punishment and entry barrier these builds usually come with these days, and add some noteworthy ranged potential while still maintining a certain need to burst and melee to push the builds capabilities to it's maximum.

Imho it would be fun and healthy to the PvE Endgame Content.

These days, I enjoy Power Soulbeast as well, but so far I've mostly played it in the personal Story and core maps.

However, I still despise the leafy fart cloud particle effect while merged with my pet. Arenanet ought to give us an option to disable it already.

No thank you. There is already a spec for people who can't play the game: Mechanist. Just play that and don't ask to destroy the nature of any more specialisations simply because people are incapable of playing them in a smart and coherent way. Play Mechanist and autoattack from distance.

I feel like there is a difference between asking for "auto attack" builds and asking for builds and playstyles to be functional on non "Patchwerk" (to borrow a phrase from WoW) bosses.

Personally i'd like to have some love shown towards condi shortbow soulbeast as well, as it seems to me it was a bit forgotten (shortbow might have gotten a buff, but of all weapons buffed it was the weakest already, and it was also buffed the least).

Ive run power soulbeast with the changes and have decided to retire my ranger main (my main since 2005 in gw1). Just not fun. Bland is the word that best describes the build to me. Since most of my spending on the game centered around my main I will no longer be spending money on GW2 and am actively looking for a new game (to be clear it isnt just the changes but also the apparent philosophy behind them that is off putting).

As an addendum to the above, i've just looked at the Snowcrows site, and it seems that there's not only no shortbow condi soulbeast build there (which isn't new, they've been ignoring that one for a long time already), but no condi soulbeast build at all. Did it got hit by the recent "balance" (heh...) that bad?

I think the benchmark on snowcrow is still a work in progress.

Yea as Dadnir said. SC has to redo the benchmarks for every build in the game so they nuked all the old ones and are adding the new ones in as they get done. There will be a Condi SB build, they just haven’t gotten to it yet.

According to the announcement they made on discord they pretty much finished the benchmarks as they are on the site. They decided to remove quite a bit of builds from their website which they deem aren't worth it anymore. Two of those builds are Condi Soulbeast and Hybrid Soulbeast.

Do note though that those builds are "deemed not worth it" that's based on their opinion and other sites like Lucky Noobs and Hardstuck might still have builds for them.

Tl;dr: No more condi or hybrid slb on snowcrows but doesn't necessarily mean it can't be run. Check other sites to see if they think its still viable.

I don't think anyone should put all that much value into what a speed-clearing guild deems as "worth it" or not.

They are the pinnacle of player capability, so they are by default not comparable to any other player.

Anyone demanding Snowcrows builds in any setting that isn't (wannabe) speed-clearing, should be heavily reprimanded.

Not everyone is a speed-clearer, so that means there's a far higher chance that other builds work better for the vast majority of the player base.

This time [LN] seems to be a bit faster with new builds and benchmarks, especially when it comes to rangers. There you go:

https://lucky-noobs.com/builds/handkite-soulbeast

Even untamed made it to the list.

Guess you misunderstood what I wrote then or the context to which my reply was because I never insinuated that it should be Snow Crows builds or gtfo.

I was replying, particularly, to the point that Snow Crows was still going to put up the Condi SLB build and benchmark. They clearly stated they don't think its worth putting on their site or using.

However, thats their opinion and I suggested checking other websites for the benchmark of the condi slb build like LN or HS.

They are the pinnacle of player capability and while not comparable to your average player they do have more knoweldge and understanding of the game than I'd day at least 90% of the playerbase.

They did say before that there are more builds than they can test and put on the site and just because its not on the site doesn't mean its not viable. I think it just means the effort required to gear up and learn the rotation isn't worth it when you can do better with a different build that provides more.

I also never said anyone's demanding Snow Crows builds and I agree people shouldn't. I've commanded raids before and never really cared what build the dps was using as long as they were around 15k+.But when you have the playerbase telling new players to go get their builds and rotations from snow crows before doing raids/strikes either you and I are playing different games or we don't see eye to eye.
