squeegee.4320
What does it mean when an offline friend has their server in parentheses (under the Level XX Ranger part) in the hover text? Why is it there for some but not others?

Danikat.8537
I only see that for one person and he hasn't logged in for years, possibly long enough that it was before the megaserver update, so it might be an artefact from back then. But one of my online friends showed their server instead of location and I'm fairly sure that's because he was in WvW. He's now in a guild hall and it shows as Gilded Hollow (Desolation). The other info seems inconsistent too, for most people I just see their account name and Off -line but some show their achievement points and a level and profession too.

Instances have named too, and those show up as they are named. Is that different when showing offline? I still see their actual locations of mutual friends showing offline. 1 hour ago, Danikat.8537 said: one of my online friends showed their server instead of location and I'm fairly sure that's because he was in WvW If it shows "[Server] Borderlands" or something like that, that's just their location. 1 hour ago, Danikat.8537 said: for most people I just see their account name and Off -line but some show their achievement points If you see their achievement points when they are offline, that means you are mutual friends.
