Illuminating Seitung

Hi,

 

I am looking for the first lantern in Painter's Platform.

According all the videos I watched I am in the right spot, but I cannot see the lantern.

Is it a bug?

It looks like you are too far north for Dreary.

 Apparently you have completed the map or you won't have it partially done. Also, I just checked and you are at the correct locations: Painter's Platform (different angle) & Dreary Caves. Often, going onto a different instance, you'll be able to see it. This works for other achievements as well such as Shrine Guardian puzzles.

With this carachter I just arrived in Seitung, I am working on the completition, but not ended at the moment. So if I have completed the map I cannot see the lanterns? 

I tried to change instance but I have the same problem. Painter's Platform I checked around but cannot see it.

Only a character that has completed the map can light lanterns on that map. If you come back on a different character you cannot progress the achievement until that character also completes the map.

You won't be able to see the lanterns on any character that hasn't completed the map.

Note that you won't be able to see the lanterns immediately after map completions without leaving the maps.

In 3 areas, the POIs are hard to get to or require the map metas. Aetherblade Refuge in Seitung, you'll  need to do the meta.  Although Aspenwood Sublevel B1 & Aspenwood Research Facility in Echovald  and Jade Wind's Respite in Dragon's End are easily accessible after the meta, these POIs can be obtained at anytime. If you know the way to get to the POIs fast, you'll be able to escape the area without dying during off-meta times. Or just run in, get the POIs, die and WP.

Leave these 3 areas as the last POIs to get. Do the metas. Get the POIs and immediately log onto character screen and back before the event areas reset. The lanterns will now be visible.

No, it's the opposite. You must have completed a EOD map before you can see the lanterns on that map...
