Lydia.3842
It really stinks waiting 30s when you are crafting a ton of items and Scribe is the only craft that uses it so whats the point in having it? 3 1
Cronospere.8143
I think its more a server performance thing rather than actually having a reason for it.
Ashantara.8731
It was made this way to make you spend more time in the game. That sounds more likely, actually. 😄 Edited July 14, 2022 by Ashantara.8731
Astralporing.1957
There's no real point to it. Just devs trying out different things and then forgetting about them. Perhaps at that point they thought it would make for a more engaging play or something. 1
Ameepa.6793
Just a remnant from the times when decorations costed about 100x more to make and took up to 12 hours to construct in the machine. Useless device/mechanic now.
Lottie.5370
One function is that it can store items which have a max amount of storage (i.e. you can only have 25 guild banquets/vault/guild world event things), but it allows you to still gain the scribing xp by making more of them. I mean, they could just not have a limit on those items and remove the assembly device, but the fact that they added two new guild decos with EoD tells me that they probably aren't going to put any time into looking at it 😉

You really think that crafting a holographic dragon costs more server performance than crafting a wooden plank?

I’ve never seen a reason. Not that I have seen everything posted lol, but it’s been complained about for multiple years. Even if it took as long for the system to process stuff, I’d like to be able to queue up 50, or 100 items. But to have to return multiple times makes it a complete waste of time. Granted, I tend to have guildies stop in every time they log in and out to put 20 items into the processor queue, which mostly accomplishes it, but otherwise it sucks. Guild decorationstorage system has always been weirdly designed. The same question is why you cant donate 100 pumpkins at the same time but have to click 300 times to do that. For me it feels like there is a weird connection between guild storage and character storage. Imagine you craft a guild stool or something. And someone else wants to upgrade it into a throne(or whatever). It takes some time for the server to tell the other that you crafted it. Doing this with 20 things at the same time yeah i think this could cause some issues, especially at time of release. In reality it is only one person doing it usually and the content is less populair then expected, so it wont deliver any problems these days. Also look at the decoration limits. They are there for a reason because at time of release it caused loading and crashing issues with certain players because of their potatoo computers. (Devs its 2022, please update this limit 😅).
