ChampionMasquerade.5283
I have done the personal story twice now, and do not want to go through it again, but since I don't plan to, the usual order mentor who gets referenced throughout the story is replaced with Trahearne. If I do the initial joining an order story step with another player (despite not doing the steps beforehand) will it still count me as joining that order, or will it not since I didn't do prior steps? Lottie.5370
No, you need to have done the prior steps and accept when it pops up asking if you want to progress to the next story.
Xanhawk.3806
I believe it won't give you credit because you aren't actively at that point. I've had to redo story instances because my friends were slightly ahead of me and I would miss updating my progress while they zoomed ahead. 1 2
Alaia Skyhawk.5064
It's worth progressing a lvl 80 alt to the end of the lvl 30 chapter/start of lvl 40 anyways, as the first instance of the lvl 40 chapter gives you a free Black Lion Chest Key 😄 It honestly doesn't take that long for a scaled-down lvl 80 to roflstomp through the early story ^_^
JayHog.3280
If I recall, the level 30s is what defines what order you join, you even get an item in your journal to prove it. Once that item is applied, the character gets some tag updated saying which order you joined. 1
