I got my first ever Xera clear today after a long training run with very friendly commander. Yesterday we tried the same but failed, mostly on mechanics.

 

Both yesterday and today I got very friendly training groups in LFG with commanders that were patient and gave players time to fail and learn from their failures. Emboldened allows players to focus on learning the mechanics with more grace on DPS and the split between Raids (experienced) and Raids (training) in LFG makes a good separation between players who want fast clears and players who need time to learn by trial and error.

Great but I fail to see how you could not focus on mechanics before and when those were nailed down you put focus back on dps to then get the kill.

That's probably true. I've taken a long pause raiding after raid training with my guild stopped and real-life difficulties prevented me from focusing to the amount needed to be of any value in a raiding group. (I got a high feeling of responsibility which can easily lead to performance anxiety) The emboldened update encouraged me to step back in on a difficulty level that suits me a bit better. And without it, this group would have never existed.

I've been enjoying it as means to learn the raids, but LFG seems to be incredibly empty every time I log in to take a look :(.

Tbh that's just how the training groups were/are, with or without emboldened mode existing. 😉

I wonder why you're saying that, seeing how these groups definitely did often exist before? (this is not a rhetorical question, I'm interested where your opinion came from)

I mean, I get it, you specifically migth have joined that group because you were less afraid of the content with the introduction of emboldened mode -for whatever reason- but now claiming that training groups somehow started showing up because of that mode isn't really true.

Raid lfg took a big hit with the june 28th update, I don't think infant... pardon, emboldened mode has anything to do with it.

Nah it was more then likely as you said the botched balance patch.
