But why are devs forcing us to their sorry-state wvw rather than instanced PvP? This game mode notoriously suffers from lack of players, and rewards are far from perfect. Adding GoB to PvP could make it a much more popular choice to spend your gw2 time in. Besides that point, PvP (despite its... questionable, balance) offers a much more fair experience than wvw can even dream of; -Your gear is standardized. No need for second set, ascendeds, whatever. Just pick a build and here you go. -You are never outnumbered, the matchmaking guarantees a 5v5 experience, with the only difference being the skill level of participating players. -There are no warclaws in PvP. Enough said. -Team tactics actually matter. WvW is just a human wave doctrine simulator, for the most part. -PvP experience is much more concentrated. You never have to wait for zerg, or run through half of a large map to find a fight.
