Skritt are everywhere. It's a Fenghuang, a Chinese or Asian phoenix, which has very little in common with the western fire bird except the English name and being a bird associated with the sun. So there is no greek version, just a english-invented interpretation of greek mythology. I'd say the closest thing to kraken in greek mythology are either Cetus, Scylla or Charybdis. Nobody is saying nor suggesting to copy anything. That's why concept artists exist. I don't think that coming up with a version of a kraken that looks more like a fiend than a squid is stealing any copyright. Actually, I think the 6 Gods themselves should be the next threat in Tyria, and each one would have a champion.
