Nvidia GeForce Experience

Recommended Posts

Bit of a stupid question, but possibly relevant to the topic: What does GeForce do?

I recently got my first Nvidia graphics card in about 15 years and I haven't figured out what GeForce does other than showing me the graphics settings for each game. If GW2 was fully compatible with it what would it do?

That's a tough one to answer, as GeForce is the brand name, and not really a suite of tools. However, as it stands it encapsulates lots of different technologies, all tied to nVidia cards.

In this circumstance, I believe Nazferatwo.1764 is referring to GeForce Now, nVidia's game streaming service (much like Google Stadia or Playstation Now).

But for what GeForce tech does locally for your personal card, it's pretty nifty. It allows you to stream your games as well as record gameplay for uploading. Yes, I know Discord "does this too", but Discord is probably leveraging your GPU's GeForce functionality to help with this (and AMD's alternative).

So think of it as a suite of tools that come packaged with your graphics card.

No no streaming, and PlayStation now has been discontinued btw... Sony don't provide that service no more.

GeForce Experience optimizes best graphics settings for you... since they moved to dx11 and fiddled with graphic settings they should re optimize the GeForce Experience software template setting
