so last time i was still playing, the place for mind numbing gold grind was drizzlewood. Is it still there now, or is it in one of the new maps to earn gold while losing braincells?

Drizzlewood still has the highest of a single map I believe, though Dragonfall is quite competitive.  The highest overall is from doing Cantha meta trains, due to Antique Summoning Stones.

   Dragonfall and Drizzlewood still place very high, but the last two maps from EoD seems also great:

   Event farming  aside, I find out farming crops with amolten sickle with volatility glyph in high rich nodes (Sweptsand Isles, Dry Top, Beetletun, Vendant's Brink Itzel crops, Drizzlewood and Ember's Bay)  and alt parking amongst the most lucrative farming methods in terms of time/gold.
