Class II Rift Stabilizer is broken

3 attempts so far to get to the crash site jumping puzzle by dialing in XI-I, every time, dumped in Field of Ruins. Used to work great.

Edit: Got it to work finally, but did so many things different, not sure what did it.

1. Once I dialed in XI-I, I stopped using the device, used it again, but didn't have to solve the puzzle, only redial.

2. When I dialed the second time, even though the second position started on I, I toggled it from I all the way back around to I. If that is what did it, that's...not so friendly, and I never 'used' to do that. I always used to just leave the 2nd number on I and dialed the first to XI.
