Cheapest food to salvage exotic extract?

Hey all,

What is the cheapest food we can buy or craft that will guarantee Exotic Food Extract of Nourishment when salvaging it with Portable Composter?

 

I find these very hard to come by, and the foods I found on TP are not very cost efficient.

There might be cheaper options to buy but https://gw2efficiency.com/crafting/calculator/a~0!b~1!c~0!d~1-91726 should give you the cheapest option to craft.  Also some upcoming events, Mad King and Wintersday, have food items that can be salvaged for exotic extracts, prices may drop during those events.
