Blue Hare.8612
Was thinking, what would make necro really scary. You know those nightmares where there is a monster chasing you and you can't run properly no matter how hard you tried and the monster would always get you.Close the distance and don't let them escape. That is the idea at least, so it could be something along the lines of:"while in shroud, cripple the nearest enemy within 500 range. If no enemy in range, gain swiftness" What are your thoughts on my shower thought? Should it have stayed in the shower?
Norseman.4280
I see where you're goin. Interesting starting point, I kind of like it. It would be fun in WvW I think, not sure how much it would benefit the PvE guys and gals though.

Oh yes, it was IN THIS GAME TWO "Balance" PATCHES AGO!
Anchoku.8142
Movement impairing conditions can be cleared and do not, in any case, affect mobility skills. I think your suggestion is under-powered. Chill works much better, though, as it also slows cool down timers. Try Rune of the Reaper on a shout-reaper with chill duration. pah.4931
The problem with the reaper "class flavor" idea is that it doesn't really make sense in a multiplayer game. If this were Skyrim, it would be awesome. Slow, menacing, unstoppable monster in constant pursuit. In an MMO with action combat, it just can't succeed in any way they'd want it to. Anchoku.8142
Reaper was certainly a monster before the chill duration nerf but then there was the Vital Persistence nerf controversy and now the decay time controversy. I would rather have more chill if that means I can keep the shroud damage buff at the expense of decay rate.
