Toxic offshoot events

Back in the day, these events would show an orange flower icon on the map to indicate an event was running. I spent roughly 90 minutes on the same map instance of Kessex last night, and never saw one occur. Are these events on a discernible timer or does the map icon still exist for this event?

The starburst were only ever used for the most recent LWS1 release for the sake of gathering players.

The Toxic Offshoot events in Kessex Hills, Brisban Wildlands, and Gendarran have existed since the original ToN arc without the gold starburst.

 

I'm guessing the events in Caledon Forest and Queensdale weren't brought back with yesterday's patch, sadly.
