hey guys and devs of anet team,i wish you could feel the same feeling which i had when i came to the new free city of amoon, the city is one of the most living city on tyria. the city is so beautiful: the casino, the golden statues on the houses, the palm trees and the whole desert oase feeling is feeling which kept me ingame.please - PLEASSSSEE !!!! dont destroy the free city of amoon. i love the city so much, that i will think about leaving the game if you will destroy the city. last time you destroyed LA, that was ok BUT..... plz not Amoon

Don't worry. Unless they change their model, any map we see will be mostly the same forever, "frozen in time." LS1 taught ANet that many players dislike feeling they missed something due to story upheavals changing the world. They're very skittish now about removing any content once they put it in the game.

Don't worry even it will be destroyed in story instance, the city won't be destroyed in living world. :)

And it's "Amnoon" ;)

I would prefer a new map, but they could also just be hinting at some kind of new map meta similar to bitterfrost where the wyvern at the end of the trailer has to be defeated to clear the branded storm or something. I have a feeling it’s just the first story instance before we set off to follow kralk south and find aurine. The episode ended with most of the guild reunited but Braham is still missing but he might just show up like Marjory did given he would have heard news about the commanders death and undeath?

The ONLY thing Braham needs to be involved in, is an offhand comment by an NPC that he was killed on safari and never heard from (or about) again.

Or it'll be an instanced event like when DR was attacked in LS3. Personally, though? I desperately want to see another battle for lions arch - an open world former friendly city filled to the brim with evacuees, flame and boss monsters sounds right up my alley. If amnoon must be sacrificed, so be it.

They learnt from ls 1. I think the chance they destroy the city very low. Unless they worked out a new system where you can choose the pre and post versions of the map, but i think that is unlikely.

It's such a shame, because while I can understand it was meh to miss out on changes to the world, at the same time it's what GW2 did what made it unique and better than other games. Because it contested for a spot no one else did.

"Frozen in time" is something other MMOs do, too. And frankly, often do better.

It's a typical case of trying to sell yourself based on patches to your weaknesses instead of highlighting your strengths.

Don't worry, they'll never destroy a map that other people still have to have their first experience in (Lions Arch fiasco)That said, the area in the video might be Kourna, or it might be a phased version of the Amnoon map, they have been experimenting with phasing a lot in the last expansion, so they might be working on that. That said, with phasing they also lose one of the arguments why LS1 can't come back

You might want to be a little more skeptical of Anet's claims of "unique" because in most cases it's been done. The wreckage of the Overlords Citadel was scattered all over West Freeport for at least 6 months after it was destroyed ingame.. long before this game launched."Wow hasn't done it" =/= "unique"

It'd be interesting if they add a story instance showing the 'before' of some settlement, that gets wrecked during the story, and the map we explore after is trying to deal with the results. Then there could be some destruction and progress without the 'wait, what?' effect from LS1.

And Braham should be obliterated by an aggressively amorous dolyak.
