Theory crafting: Will Aurene be the mother of a new Dragon breed?

Recap:

From the very beginning of the Asura story we all knew about Elder Dragons consuming magic. After a Dragon dies, all its consumed magic will be unleashed in a giant outburst, which can lead to a catastrophic event, if there is no counter-pol to catch/absorb/eat the released magic. The cycle of Dragons awaking and going to sleep, depending on how much magic is present in the world, has ended with the death of Soo-Wong. Aurene absorbed their energy and is now (presumably) the only Dragon around.

More Dragon lore:

Despite very powerful and able to reach a biblical age, Elder Dragons are still mortal beings. They can bleed, starve and die. They also can reproduce. Soo-Wong was the mother of the other Elder Dragons. Glint is the Elder Dragon Kralkatorrik. Vlast and Aurene are Glints offsprings. Dragons also have the power to turn living beings into their minions. Their most powerful champions are known as their champions. Some of their minions can absorb magic to feed their master or can be used as eyes and ears (Eye of Zhaitan).

The Future:

With Aurene being the last powerful and friendly Dragon in Tyria, the world is at peace – at least for new. But what if Aurene would die due to an unforeseen, catastrophic event? The outburst of magic would probably rip Tyria into pieces. With Aurene being an Intelligent, thoughtful being, it makes sense for her to have some sort of backup emergency plan in store. Something or someone to take over, if (and when) she isn't around anymore. Of course: There are a couple of ways to soften the impact of unleashed magic. The Asura have shown quite the understanding of absorbing and using magic with their technical instruments. But as for me it would make much more sense to me if Aurene seeks another way. With Glint as one example we saw Dragons socialising with other species. But they also like being around with others of their kind. This is why I presume, Aurene will (sooner or later) be the mother of a new Dragon Breed, either very few equal powerful Dragons or some sort of "lesser Dragons", some kind of minions like the Sylvari race.

If the story goes this way, we might get a glimpse of this in the next expansion, such as we saw at the end of Guild Wars 1 with the Pale Tree growing . Or maybe things will turn out much, much faster, if you catch my drift.

The entire narrative of End of Dragon repeatedly states that Aurene, unlike Soo-Won, is (somehow) capable of perfectly filtering the Void by herself. While it would be nothing new, ArenaNet suddenly writing for Aurene to repeat Soo-Won's first major mistake would not only become contradictory to the primary narrative of End of Dragons, but also be contradictory to the entire story of Guild Wars 2 thus far.
Further, Aurene having children wouldn't be a backup plan. Firstly, Aurene is seemingly still immortal - she cannot die thanks to Joko Ex Machina - and based on Soo-Won's lore, having children made it impossible for her to maintain Void by herself; if this remains true for Aurene, it would turn her from a perfect filter, to an imperfect filter, and doom herself and her children to the same exact fate as Soo-Won and her five children.

Additionally, as others mentioned, the developers have clearly become tired of the Elder Dragon plot, and this is why IBS and EoD are so haphazardly short, brief, and ties up the entire Elder Dragon plotlines in a nice and tidy bow.

I'm going to assume sarcasm on this part.

There is some, yes.

Champions and EoD suffers the same thing that Seasons 3 and 4, as well as the final acts of HoT and PoF, suffer: they go by too quickly, and need another 1/3rd of the whole respective expansion/season's worth of story on top of it - at least.
