Wow this games pvp balance is a joke now, worse than ever lmao

Thought I'd come back see how things are going and man these devs are still pathetic at balancing, rev with 20,042 hp (devinity) and a reaper fears me and 1 ghastly claw leaves me with 5% hp, are u serious haha, devs u guys seriously need replaced, this many years in its getting pretty sad. Anyways was fun checking in lol.

You're complaining about herald and reaper, two classes which are well balanced and almost nobody complains about. This is a player skill issue. Also there were much worse metas in this game in the past. Cele ele meta, scourge firebrand meta, etc. The game is fairly balanced right now with the only big outlier being catalyst.

The joke is that the op was gold on any class they played till they picked up ele and could all of a sudden get to 1600 on a auto play build

I've played ele for like 10 hrs total maybe 5 or so yrs ago, I assure u if I played ele now I'd be silver, 0 clue how to play it so think u have me confused with another player. I was usually between gold 3-plat 1 one on teef when I played, made it to plat 2 and 3 multiple times but for only few days before dropping back down. I only solo que'd so matches were all over the place. Regardless I'm obviously not mechanically great at the game anymore but that wasn't my grief, the fact u can have 95% of ur 20+k removed by one fear followed by one ghastly claw is kitten poor balancing, my current skill level has nothing to do with that.

Sry but if u think one fear+ghastly claw taking 95% of 20+k hp pool is balanced than I don't know what to tell u. Reaper as a whole may be pretty balanced but ghastly claw itself certainly isn't.

19k Ghastly Claws? Sounds like you're getting bullied by a pve build, I'm not quite certain if its that or an overexaggeration. You should be able to win against a reaper with a high win rate on a power herald and be able to win with an even higher win rate (though less overall effectiveness) with a condition herald.

No exaggerat, I'm not a good player in this game anymore cuz don't play it often but I have a long history in the game and 1000s and 1000s of hrs in its pvp so I may not be mechanically good but I know the game. I rolled a rev with dev rune which put me around 20450hp approx, a reaper feared me and hit me with one ghastly clay from mid range, my hp was left was barely visible so my 5% hp being left isn't exact but seemed like a close figure for me to throw out there. I of course at this point don't expect to win a lot of  trade off in fights due to barely playing anymore but also don't expect one cc and one skill to remove almost all of a 20k hp pool, if I remember correctly Fears do damage as well as cc so technically got hit by to damaging skills, still to much tho imo. I'm not saying reapers not balanced but spacific skills on classes should be tuned down if stuff like this is occurring cuz its definitely not good for the pvp scene, in pve obviously who cares lol.

You must've been fighting a Zerker Spite Reaper using Eagle runes with Sigil of Exploitation and Separation on their Axe/Focus set.

Additionally, they must've been running the Vulnerability on Chilled trait to inflict Vulnerability, AoE Chilled when hitting a Chilled Player, and gotten all critical hits.

They must've been running Dread to get Quickness too, assuming they hit all those in the time-span of a single fear.

Point is, they must've been complete glass and you were the unlucky victim of it.

Probably not running curses at all to do damage on fear if they're hitting you that hard. 

Best case is to stunbreak and dodge then enjoy an easy kill because they're going to have no survivability and can't outrun or chase a rev.

The real fun is when you come across a spellbreaker or catalyst. Then you'll know what hopelessness really feels like.
