The ranked daily gives two at once from a single chest, bringing the total to four. I haven't done PvP at all this year so I might be wrong. For today that should be 4 potions, 1 from kills, 1 from top stat and 2 from rated game winner. As for caps that is for getting rewards through matches but that only applies to custom arenas.
