necromancer minion abilities shouldn't be passive

Like said in some  others their forum, the minion abilities should have their minions summoned by applying the main effect of the ability. I am not going in detail what every ability should do, I am just giving my own view how it functionaly should work. The foundation how it is applied needs to be strong, and then you can build in detail the abilities description.

 

 

• The main use should come from the opening of the ability and not the minions passive damage. The passive damage of the minions should be low !

But the minions should always be summoned even if the main purpose of the ability gets blocked/evaded for example.

 

• The secondary effects of minions should be given by choosing death magic traitline when they rework that with the minions rework.

The secondary effects should be focused on applying non damaging conditions by the pets attacking passively.

To not reward this with overwhelming pet passive gameplay, the internal cooldown on those abilties should be made appropriate!!!

No, in most games that is fine, but in this game it rewards too much passive AI gameplay. This is boring, not interactive and too hard to balance, and not only annoying for the player but also enemy players

Then why suggest buffing the passive performance of the pets? Wouldnt you rather interact with the game? Unless you just want the computer to play for you. 🤔

How about minion in gw1? Have you ever played that? You actually had to play the game. Mechanist is an abomination in its current state. No class should be able to pump top tier dps without being in front of the computer. How hard is it to press buttons?

As far as I know, GW2 necromancer isn't a "pet class". The "pet class" of the game is, officially, the ranger.

Also, based on your references, you do not want to play a "Pet class" but a "Swarm class" and GW2 do not have a profession dedicated to this kind of gameplay even if the necromancer can emulate it through an optional set of skills and traits.
