Constant crash error makes game unplayable

Recommended Posts

That particular crash means there's something wrong with your system, not the game. I would check your stability at the current clocks and voltages, do a memory test, and test the hard disk as well.

It doesn't matter if other games work, they all use the hardware differently.

The game is also reporting that you have 512MB of video memory, on a 3050. I'd look at your graphics drivers as the first suspect as NVIDIA drivers always have alot of regressions. The game was likely DirectX 9 the last time you played, with DierctX 11 in beta, but now its just DX11.

My laptop has always had this weird issue of slowing  and I wonder if my game crashes because this is about to happen. I have never had this slow down happen in Guild Wars 2 so maybe the game just outright crashes instead of slowing. I did some searching and I guess I'm not the only one with an issue. I wonder if this is the reason.

Have you tried what I suggested above before you continue your speculations? 😉

Partially. I won't try anything like moving the game to a different folder or disk cleanup yet as disk cleanup has caused me serious problems in the past (I don't remember what) but I basically never do it anymore as the problems that it caused were so bad/annoying to rectify.

I was referring to the system check/repair stuff executed in the Command Prompt.
