Upcoming 1/31 QoL WvW Update Guesses

Alright, get your bets in on what they might be changing. I'll start with some ideas:

(Disclaimer: This is just for fun, just post some QoL ideas that are just silly)

  • Removed the JP Puzzle in Blue/Green Borderlands

  • Added SMC Capture as a Daily.

  • You now receive 2x the amount of Legendary Spikes from drops.

  • Seigemaster will now help you take down the Enemy Keep in EBG.

  • Added the "Pugmander Tag" as a Commander Tag option.

  • Nerfed Air/Fire Lords even more. They no longer move.

  • Seige is now usable in water.

  • Drained the water around Bay Keep in Blue/Green BLs.

  • Added more breakable walls to the keeps, including the bridge of Hills. If there's a wall, it can be broken.

  • Added Skyscale and Griffon mount support to WvW. If the mount flies into the enemy territory, birds will cause it to crash, dealing fall damage, similar to gliding in enemy territory.

  • Those with the [SKY] guild tag receive 2x HP and Damage when fighting underwater.

  • Deleted Maguuma Server and randomly placed those players in the other 23 servers.

Actual QoL changes?

  • Fixed all places where people glitch into structures.
  • Removed grandmaster mark shards, replaced with grandmaster marks.
  • Added memories of battle to the daily chests.
  • Removed Veteran Creature Slayer, replaced by Dolyak defense to avoid people AFK at the veteran spawn points doing nothing.
  • Jade sliver jade bot upgrade now works properly on junk from reward tracks
  • Crafting Material Boxes with selections from reward tracks can be opened in bulk (think Tofu / Desert Coffee)
  • Added legendary accessory that is not unique (no appearance , can equip two) using Emblem of the Avenger
  • Performance optimizations to client for higher framerate in WvW
  • Add separate graphics mode setting for WvW
  • Standard Models setting now does not show flashy backpacks
  • Added collection for WvW legendary armor pieces and mistforged skins , completing it unlocks all 4 dye channels for the armors
  • Added 32 slot Siegemaster satchel for testimonies of heroics
  • Added lvl 70 equivalent healing utility to portable provisioner
  • Druid pet stow works in combat
  • Mirage now has 2 dodges again
  • Revenant CoR now has better pathing
  • Bladesworn Dragon Slash Force now hits for at a minimum core warrior tier 1 burst levels (this is a buff in case people that don't play warrior have no idea)
  • Spellbreaker/Berserker Hundred Blades can now be used while moving
  • Toughness bonus on celestial stats has been reduced (debatable)
  • Removed rallying off other people to reduce randomness, ressing is still in place from skills such as battle standard and from manual ressing
  • To generate revenue in preparation for alliances, introduced siege skins into gem store
  • WVW build templates can now be set a different color than the PvE/PVP ones
  • To generate revenue in preparation for alliances, introduced selectable keep/tower/SMC capture music
  • To generate revenue in preparation for alliances, introduced skins for keeps/tower/SMC
  • Reduced rank required for max WvW masteries
  • Added ascended seeds to synthesizers
  • Fix the exploits email tip line

Wishful thinking QoL changes

  • Implemented a preliminary Alliance UI for WvW guilds to group together.
  • Implemented an alliance request panel for guilds to request other guilds to ally
  • List of self-designated WvW guilds similar to gw2mists sorted by current server
  • Mist Infusion is now a possible drop when combining 4 stacks of emblems
  • God of WvW now allows one Mist Infusion to be purchased (Armistice Bastion effect)
  • God of WvW now provides a copy of Eternity that can be used or sold
  • Weekly/monthly vendor that converts emblems into other currencies
  • Gift of Cantha reward track after you mapped Cantha once (very unlikely...)
  • Added collection for Mistforged weapons with 0 AP
  • Ascended Salvage kits no longer cost skirmish tickets
  • Added mystic forge recipe to add +9 agony to WvW infusions
  • Added target golems to Obsidian Sanctum/EoTM areas so that people without Armistice Bastion can test their builds

Joke QoL changes?

  • Can now port when in combat with a creature that isn't a guard.
  • Removed the moat around Bay because players don't have underwater gear.
  • Replaced EBG with EotM 😄
  • Brought back the cannon in a box trick/trap
  • The charr car now moves much faster with superspeed
  • Siege Golems no longer meet the weight criteria for mesmer/thief/necro portals and cannot use portals
  • Removed downstate
  • Brought back laser event to Desert BL
  • You can now repair siege
  • Flame rams are now movable if you are a charr engineer
  • Rock dogs summoned by Rune of the Ogre no longer attack ogres on EBG
  • Watchtower no longer works if no players are inside the structure
  • Commanders must now be required to wear rune of leadership
  • Heavy armor classes can no longer use rune of the scholar
  • Removed the snow from Alpine BL due to global warming
  • Gaining Bloodlust in the Borderlands sets your Bloodlust sigil stacks to maximum
  • Rune of the Privateer now shouts "Yarr" louder when above 600 range from target
  • Rune of the Dolyak now regenerates more health when you are protecting a yak
  • Scholar Rune bonus reduced to 2% > 90% health
  • Turtle Banner now summons a Siege Turtle
  • Desert BL Keep Lords are now rotated weekly and use raid bosses
  • Rifle deadeyes kneeling are put into action cam mode and cannot leave it unless standing up
  • Core rangers and thieves are put at the back of the queue
  • God of WvW players that have finished Diamond Skirmish track for the week can talk to Retired Commander Burn Razor to pay their badge of honor pension for karma booster
  • Introduced optional WvW green path markers for new players when a structure is selected so they know how to get to the structure on Desert BL 😆

I have it blocked. Animated GIFs, scrolling text, and autoplay videos are examples of things that annoy me while I'm attempting to browse a forum. And for that reason those annoyances get blocked. Unfortunately it does mean that from time to time I am out of the loop for some threads (like this one).

- fall damage no longer kills, just leaves at 1% hp

-can no longer stomp while invulnerable or stealted

-reduced the range on all 1200 range pull skills down to 300

-moa has been replaced with a 5 second stun/immobilize

-walled objectives must now be damaged with siege to be contested

-watch tower is no longer a tactic, has been made permanent with each tier of tower upgrade increasing its radius

-you can now mount warclaw while in combat

-golems now move and normal player speed and can self repair with a new skill

-damage per strike is now capped at 10% of a players health and a player can only receive 10% of their health in damage per second per attacker

-added infusions that reduce damage from enemy players by 1% along with the standard +5 stat of choice

-added a new rune set,

Superior Rune of the WvW God:

(10+8 all stats

(2) When struck gain protection for 3 seconds (10 second recharge)

(3)+12 all stats

(4) When you are affected by crowd control, become immune to all crowd control for 3 seconds (20 second recharge)

(5)+16 all stats

(6) Gain a stacking buff that increases all stats by 1% for each ally within 600 radius (max: 25 stacks)

Quality of Life Changes in EBG

North Keep:  One of the village residents will now flee if their home is destroyed. Updated - They will return in five mins to begin repairs, but notice they are no longer receiving participation, and instead will leave for Alpines to build a new home.

Green Spawn / Red Spawn / Blue Spawn - Removed these areas from EBG in order to combat spawn camping. Permanently added Red and Blue spawn waypoints to the vista area of Green Lowlands keep instead, permanently added Green spawn waypoint to SMC instead. In other tiers, servers should use this as practice to combat Maguuma forces in the future.

 

Quality of Life Changes in Alpines

Lake southeast tower - Deleted this tower in order to eliminate exploits to get in through the gate and hill side. Replaced the structure with a copy of Desert Parched southwest tower.

Ruins of Power - Added random Quaggan spawns for your killing or dancing pleasure.

Added crafting tables to all keeps, this should help provide extra scouts.

 

Quality of Life Changes in Desert

Necropolis northeast tower - The supply depot was raised 1cm to place it above ground to eliminate the flicking graphical texture glitch of it's base.

Middle Area - Added SMC as an objective but worth only capture points and no ppt, in the middle of the area, in order to get certain players interested to play on desert once more.

Added crafting tables to all keeps, this should help provide extra scouts.

 

Reward Tracks

Added 1 silver and 1 skirmish ticket to the end chest of every track.

EOTM Committed Reward Track - All boxes/chests in this track awards you with Instant Reward Track Progress. Last chest contains one Piece of Gift Of Battle, you will need ten pieces in order to combine into one Gift Of Battle.

 

Siege

Increased siege damage by 12.345% across the board.

Decreased siege damage by 20% across the board.

Increased siege supply cost by 10% across the board.

Decreased siege supply cost by 9.9% across the board.

 

New WvW Mastery

Siege Golem Mastery - 6th Tier - 50 points. Increased Golem movement speed by 100% and added a third dodge. Note: This should help operators escape camps with their golem.

 

New Trap

Ok Booner Trap - Use to gain an Ok Booner Trap. This trap instantly removes all your boons and one random boon from enemies when activated. Costs 1 supply to deploy. Effect Radius: 1. Targets: 1.

 

New Skins

Added a new dyable glow legendary skin for the Mistforged Triumphant Hero's legendary armor. Each piece cost 50,000 skirmish tickets and 1 Emblem of the Avenger and 1 Emblem of the Conqueror.

 

New Title

Added a new title for any player who have moved their account to every server that exist - Planeswalker of the Mists

 

New Daily

Daily WvW Traveler - Log into all four WvW maps 0/1 - 0 achievement points. Note: If you are on Maguuma do not contact customer support, we know EBG will be a problem to get into, so try the 22 other servers.

Daily Trapper - Purchase one of each trap 0/1 - 0 Achievement points.

 

Player Feature Disabled in WvW

Autorun disabled in wvw.

lol, +1 will read again, with or without the rum. But if out of rum, will have to send the Berserker for the dance off. Just saying.

Joking aside I am interested in the Friday info so +1 to Devs. Half full/ half empty, we will have to see.

Instead of all that, actual change:

Removed one of wyverns to improve performance on dbl.

Remove teefs from game.
Remove conditions from game or make them ADDITIONAL source of damage instead of major source.
Reduce boon duration by 50% or remove Concetration from game.
Reduce amount of teleport skills available to classes.
Remove Elite specializations from game.
Add real system that will actually change playstyle of classes more than just adding 1-2 busted mechanics for funnies and call it a day.
Add LoS requirement to Rangers skills.
Allow ACs to hit inside objectives to pewpew enemy sieges.
Add real rewards for defending/assaulting objectives. If you successfully cap objective from enemy of equal or higher numbers than yours within range of said objective gain more rewards. If you successfully defend objective from enemy of equal or higher numbers than yours within range of said objective gain more rewards. (Not some 2-3 greens, but rares~exotics with chance for ascended gear).
Add benefits for having abc ranks like cheaper items or freebies once a week from npc.
Reduce rewards for brainlet ppt when 99% of enemies sleep.
Add white & black lists to guilds that will allow/forbid players from using tactics.
Add "history" to objectives that shows who used what tactic at what time and make it possible to interact with that information like block/add to guilds black list/etc.
Add a button to report cheaters (like reporting teefs that port inside closed objectives after joining on the map in less than 5min).
That would be great start to make gw2 healthy.

Their update? Easy

  • Added chairs to WvW.
  • Added 24 chair skins, 1 for each keep/tower on all maps, to gem store.
  • Reduced objective claim buffs.
  • Added party/squad boon buffs (+50 to every stat for all full party/squad/sub-squads)
  • Reduced all lord scaling by 50%
  • Vindicator gets another dodge

QOL I'd like to see:

  • Daily/Weekly Emblem exchange vendor
  • Grandmaster Mark Shards retired, you gain full marks instead. The option to exchange shards to marks remains in the vendor
  • Warclaw gets third dodge back
  • Dolyak corpses no longer block projectiles
  • Skirmish Chests give more rewards
  • Taking objectives gives pips based on the objective
  • New reward tracks
  • New collections, with AP
  • Mist Instabilities added and rotated to shake up gameplay

The quality of life improvement on two empty maps while waiting in queue for the only map that has anything going on might be a little late. 

Just combine WvW with Open world with flagged pvp and then make a WvW persistent battleground map out of SMC and its front yard lanes since that's the only spot that has anything going on that lasts for more than a few minutes.

Honestly, I think this should be available for everyone that detests RBL 🤣.  Was in EBG with a new commander that actually stated they get lost on RBL, and refused to go there when there was a call out 😀.  At least they were honest about it 😆.

My list of possibles:

  • Added dedicated area for PvP with chairs to watch match (anyone attacking the ones in the match up die automatically).
  • Legendary Spike/Emblem gobblers.
  • When you stand in claim circle while invisible, it counts.
  • Mechanist bot now must be killed before player starts taking any damage.
  • Everyone gets maxed boons applied every 5 seconds, and cannot be stripped.  Exception is stability, which still needs to be applied like normal.
  • While rolling around in a boon ball, all players within 600 units take 1000 dmg per second while in combat for each boon type.
  • Upon entering WvW, you are always in combat mode... If you want to heal, that is what those skills are for 😁.

Flagged pvp. Pve players wouldn't have to pvp, like it's worked in other games. At least people could fill bags and get other stuff done with at least a little more going on than seeing "dead game" in chat consistently. I know you like to blow your load over mag threads but I think most other people are getting a little bored with that being the WvW content.

That's not the point. You want to place optional pvp in maps where it's all pve players, you'll end up finding even less pvp players engaging in the option than in wvw. At least with Wvw maps it's mostly players who wants to pvp, minus the couple deadbeats only there for a gob. Not to mention no one is going to run around that many maps looking for action, they'll all pick one or two popular maps and sit there looking to gank others.

Feel free to enter pve zones right now and get your loot and chat if wvw is dead for you.

Nah that's me having a bit of fun, blowing the load is you and this open world pvp suggestion you keep trying to push every chance you get, even though there's been like what one other person that might like it? We've already had this discussion, which you didn't even want to answer my questions for it, so I guess enjoy your load by yourself.
