uberkingkong.8041
I went to Popeyes today. Had the Ghost Pepper Wings, they were extremely delish. Very upset Guild Wars 2 does not have Ghost Pepper Wings. As of recently, its become apparent that Final Fantasy XIV puts out many updates and these updates are vast content almost like an expansion. Have not seen this from GW2 lately. No skiff races No mount races in EoD No Jade Tech parkour No Ghost Pepper Wings GW2 its not looking very good, especially when competitor is outdoing you NOW. Been seeing a lot of repeat stuff, as if GW2 is in milking the cash cow mode at the moment. 1 1 9
Khisanth.2948
https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Plate_of_Spicy_Moa_Wings FFXIV isn't outdoing GW2 "NOW". It has been outdoing GW2 for a while. It is also based on a stronger IP. 8 4
Zero.1028
Every time I try to get into FFXIV I just quit cuz of how boring the combat is. If the combat was better I would totally leave gw2 for it but I don't see that happening 2 1

Between the combat and the slower-than-a-siege-turtle-walking story, I just couldn't get into it. Combat, early on, is so inactive and passive, I'm basically falling asleep. But anyways, OP, what attributes would wings even give? Edited January 28, 2023 by Andifulated.3482 4
Doggie.3184
Ghost Peppers aren't food, they taste gross, like eating pine tree needles. Cayanne Peppers have superior taste to most, if not all, and don't give you stomach ache as bonus 🙂 Actually they cure ailments. They exist in GW2 too and we should use those to make ascended wings and should probably give both reduced condi damage and duration. Also when do we get to put Pepperoni on Pizza? FFXIV also has that even though the recipe is questionable. XD Edited January 28, 2023 by Doggie.3184

Been seeing a lot of repeat stuff, as if GW2 is in milking the cash cow mode at the moment. If with repeat stuff you mean the rerelease of Season 1, they've been working on that for a long time. Coinciding with the Steam release last year it was important to have a complete story for the expected influx of new people, but they couldn't release it as it was so needed to adjust things. Now that the Season 1 rerelease is out of the way you can expect new content this year. Just wait for the roadmap, which will come after the Lunar New Year festival ends. And don't forget they are also working on a 4th expansion. It's not in cash cow mode, not any more than usual. And don't forget that cash cow has given us 3 expansions already and a 4th incoming. Trust me, we need that bovine to move forward. FFXIV also has a subscription model which greatly helps the creation of new content and longterm retention of active players. GW2 doesn't have that and it makes a difference. For a MMO without a subscription GW2 is actually doing pretty well. 4

XD Nah, the recipe will be 1x Glob of Spiritual Pepper Paste (Made by refining 50 of every T2, T3, T4, and T5 peppers) 6x Perfect Poultry Cuts (New material drop from all sources that drop Poultry Meat) 1x Cultivated Ascended food item (Mint, Clove, Cilantro, Peppercorn, or Sesame) Produces 1x Feast of Spicy Wings.

This is when Guild Wars 2 was in its prime, the game that completely changed how MMOs were played (from tab targetting to action-based combat), so when FF14 relaunched where do you think most of its inspiration came from? Sure, its doing alot better than this game now, but its only because this game existed that it had a chance. World of Warcraft also released an expansion overhauling all its mechanics to be more similar to this game around the same time as the FF14 relaunch, for the same reason. WoW, of course (and FF XI too, obviously). FF XIV was extremely old-fashioned at launch (and i do mean 2.0 launch). Even now it is way closer to the original classic MMORPG model than GW2 ever was. (and no, 1.0 did not have "the lowest budget possible". The issues came not from lack of funding, but from its budget being misspent on bad design) BTW, how do you think FF XIV could have taken its inspirations for its 2.0 relaunch from GW2, when both GW2 and 2.0 released around the same time? (1.0 launched in 2010, 2.0 in august 2013 - a year after gw2, but by the time gw2 launched the design of 2.0 was already baked in). Sometimes it does pay to look at the calendar and check the dates. Yes, but you do not change the game design in the last phases of development. 2.0 was announced in 2011, and in late 2012 the design was already set. not to mention all you need to understand that FFXIV did not really take any significant inspiration from GW2 is to actually play 2.0. Those two games followed a completely different design ideology, with gw2 trying to be innovative, while FF XIV went into a direction of trying for modern, but also extremely conservative design. Now, some of the GW2 elements did make it eventually into both FF XIV and WoW (and several other games), but that came much, much later. Possibly more to the point, when Ascended gear was introduced. People were worried it was the slippery slope to being a traditional gear grind MMO. That didn't happen, but by the time it became clear that wasn't going to happen, people had already moved on. 1

LW1 as the first post main story content didn't help much either. Iirc LW1 was very poorly received back then. Often times a post would pop up asking if LW1 would come back and a rather vocal crowd started chiming in on their woes from LW1.

That did cause a continued haemmorhage through 2013 as well. I know of a few people who disengaged during that time. That was more of a continuous bleed, though, while the introduction of Ascended and a gear grind mechanic (agony) caused an exodus of people who thought they saw where things were going. While ArenaNet did stick to their word, mostly, about not adding further vertical progression after Ascended, it'd be years before it became clear that was the case. My immersion as a character who identifies as a class conflicts with the game design when I want to play as a different character for certain classes. The game falls flat when it comes to alts. QoL features and cosmetics need to be unlocked per alt. Sure it is based off a great IP, but until it lets you change your character's specific appearance along with the armor in class changes, I can't get into it as an "RPG". Like GW2 events, Popeyes Ghost Pepper Wings are only around for awhile, until February 12th so enjoy it while its here. GW2 needs to be getting into the food battles with everyone else like the chicken sandwiches, the Mexican pizzas. Heck if any are big hits who knows they might keep the food around permanently. When it comes to getting into a game because your alts lack something and calling that not an RPG. Your not playing a RPG, RPG is playing a main and roleplaying it. A true RPG game will have you be working on too much to even consider an alt. Like Skyrim, do you make several different alts/characters one for each race? Nope. You stick with your main. In Final Fantasy, Runescape, ESO, Everquest, WoW, you stick with your main In games like Diablo2, GuildWars, where you reach a threshold due to level, lack of things to develop further into your main thats when alts start becoming something. In games where you stick with your main, people know you by your name of character, your actually roleplaying. In games where you have a lot of alts, people know you by account, your not roleplaying the character anymore.

Well yes there is more that makes up RPG as well. Such as playing role of healer, tank, support, dps. Your role. GW2, originally didn't want to be a game based off traditional RPG. However, it's turning into one in the party/ get dungeons/raids done kind of way. However the, roleplaying in roleplaying aspect is not there because everyone is running around with alts, people are more known for their accounts than their characters. Also, the roleplaying in guild aspect is not there due to with being in multiple guilds. GW2 is its own kind of game, just like Diablo2, and not so much an RPG or MMORPG like in Final Fantasy, Runescape, ESO, Everquest, WoW.
