Build Storage Expansion sale = broken item

Using this item from inventory doesn't add any additional build storage at all. It's supposed to add 3. This was 250 gems.

nvm. I didn't realize I had to click the "empty space" section. It should really just unlock the locked tabs and show 4,5,6 imo. (I already have 1,2,3)

Why are build storage and build templates 2 separate things that require gems??????????
