Mirror.3521 Posted February 2, 2023 Share Posted February 2, 2023 It doesn't matter if I'm just walking, exploring with a mount, or fighting someone, the game crashes to the desktop and either I can go back or the client completely shuts down. For this sometimes pops up a frame with information to send a reported problem to the net arena, which I have done more than once. I would like to add that I play about 40 minutes a day and during these 40 minutes once a day this problem occurs for the last 5 days. Here's some information about my computer: DESKTOP-HEDPOIQ Intel(R) Core(TM) i3 CPU 540 @ 3.07GHz 3.06 GHz 64-bit operating system, x64 processor Windows 10 Home - 22H2 - 19045.2486 - Windows Feature Experience Pack 120.2212.4190.0 Directx12 I don't know if arena net does something when players are in the game or if it has anything to do with the upcoming update for directx or something, but for months and years everything was fine, until now. You can usually find the crash info in the ArenaNet.log file in your Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Guild Wars 2 directory. I don't see anywhere the option to upload/show the file here. Maybe someone here would give their e-mail please and then I would send the file and would be able to open it? The Nvidia website is showing this one for the GT 240 on Win10 64-bit: "GeForce 342.01 Driver - WHQL Driver Version: 342.01 - Release Date: Wed Dec 14, 2016" Also review the updated minimum system requirements. Anet recently changed the minimum system requirements due to the upcoming DX11 changes:https://help.guildwars2.com/hc/en-us/articles/201862958-Minimum-System-Requirements For End of Dragons the minimum GPU is a GTS 240 and 6GB of system RAM. Three things I just checked (It took me less time than expected ..): I have the latest graphics card, the Nvidia GeForce GT240. I checked the minimum requirement and I don't see anything missing or wrong at the moment. One more important thing: For previous expansions before End of Dragons it only needs 4GB of RAM. And I forgot to add that I'm currently playing LV4 and will be all year. Whole year i going stay on Crystal Desert like i did in last year (i play slowly, exploring and doing story). I will be playing End of Dragons in the coming years, so I conclude that I don't need any 6GB RAM right now. So the problem must be elsewhere.. not in my PC. Any other suggestions as for this moment looks like I don't know what to do next? I also done repair client and nothing, the same. "PageFaults: 101422721" This is something with the GPU driver interaction. "16:33:07Z DX9: device lost" Are you saying you don't have the End of Dragons expansion? What are your game graphics settings? Turning down shaders and character model limit may improve it somewhat. You might need to open a support ticket and send that crash log for further analysis. Doing the automatic reporting doesn't open any support ticket to get you the specific help you are looking for. Yes, I don't even have End of Dragons purchased, because for now I don't need it since I'm playing Living Season 4. + i have Icebrood to play after desert is over. 4. Game graphics settings? All highest. For months and years (i play 7 years) everything was fine. Game is beautiful and now what? .. i must play on low now? 5. "You might need to open a support ticket". Anyway, if you've not already done it, my best suggestion is always redownload the big honking .dat file (40gb+ or whatever it's up to now). Just delete it and start the game again, it will automatically download. Patch upon patch upon patch upon has a tendancy to get alot of junk in there and can cause a heap of odd issues. Of course a DX issue with the graphics card is also likely, that thing is just garbage (no offense, but it is). It's from 2009. How on earth you are running max settings is beyond me. I sent them everything already: arena.net log file, dgdiag, -diag (network) and even hijackthis. Second, i played yesterday another 40 minutes and first time for days didn't have a crash. I'm so proud of this pc it's alive that long without big issues ^^ In this year i gonna buy finally new one (hope in next 2 max 3 months). The more so that Star Wars of the Old Republic and Guild Wars 2 are improving and increasing the minimum hardware requirements right now. These two mmorpgs are the only ones I play and have been for many years. Thanks for tips. I will see today and in next days if i will have another crash. Even if i will have, support told me to send them another hijackthis. I have many options: support help, buy new pc (but not now but little later) or upgrade something right now because i can't play like this for 2-3 months. Support trying to help me with 50 advises (reinstall, repairs, windows change settings, game graphic settings, nvidia, new account windows and many many more). Why everything is total broken and still i can't peacefully play, not mention i can't do meta, dungeous, any events and bountys? However, with only 4 GB of memory, you're running right on the edge and simply turning up your model limit/quality will likely crash it. Free has long queues and can only play for an hour at a time (more info). It's not really realistic to use it for free, as you'd probably have to wait an hour+ in queue to play for an hour, but it has its uses. You'll need to install the app, or you can just use Edge or Chrome as a quick way to experience it in your browser. You'll find GW2 in the games section.
